Very Reliable

By Thomas F.

from Boston, MA, US

I have used this for years and had no issues at all. Transmitter has a strong signal . I would recommend to anyone. Easy to use but the info on youtube is easier to understand.

Great to use as Backup

By Pete Z.

from Douglas , WY, US

Both my wife and I have the Amphos and use it as a backup to our Wisdom 3 - The Amphos uses the same algorithm as the Wisdom so it makes it a true backup - It's fairly easy to program and would have given it 5 star but it's only fairly easy - The one thing I like about it is I can wear it as a time of day watch and it can be set with 2 time different time zones - I check the dive log for quick reference but get log info from my Wisdom - You can find a short video that gives a short tutorial on the use of the Amphos

Freedive Mode Limeted

By KKireland

Can't recommend UPS for delivery to Ireland - had to collect in person at depot.

Not a good freediving computer and poor quality.

By Mick B.

from Vancouver, BC, CA

Used it for scuba and freediving. After about a year with very little use, maybe 10 dives and 3 days of freediving, the battery was flat. After changing the battery out the screen had died and only half was visible. Unfortunately it's out of the warranty period now :( When it did work... For scuba it was fine. A little bit chunkier than a D4 and much cheaper looking. For freediving though I would never recommend it. There is no log book or way of accessing previous dives and when first turned on it would always divert back to scuba mode. So if I had a break for lunch and jumped back in freediving it would go into scuba mode and lock me out for 24hrs... For the price there are better computers. I own a Suunto D4i and an Aeris F10. Both amazing at what they do.

Did this include the download cable?if no, did you have sell it? what is the price?
yap l on Apr 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It is not included. It is a separate accessory. We do not have them in stock at this time.
Please contact us directly and we can give you an estimated date for when they will be available.
Does it have a watch function? When not diving, can it serve as a simple date/time watch?
LOUIS M on Apr 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does. It should immediately go to the date/time screen when you first turn it on. Once you dive it will automatically switch to the dive function after you get about 5 ft under. Then after your done diving it will switch back to the date/time screen once it's been inactive for a few minutes. I'm still learning how to use the watch and all of its functions, but I have been very impressed with its ease of use for how many functions it actually has.
Is this watch "wireless ready" if I were to eventually buy a Sherwood transmitter?
Gavin on Feb 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is not an air integrated computer. You would want the Amphos Air:
Can this be switched to metres and Celcius?
KKireland on Jul 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi K K, yes it can. I use it in the metric mode. You change it in one of the setting modes.

What is the size of a Amphos Wrist Computer - CW6600?
Todd W on Dec 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Amphos CW6600 is a little larger than an ordinary wrist watch. It measures: outside diameter: 6 cm (2 3/8 inches); inside diameter (crystal face of the clock): 4 cm (1 5/8 inches); thickness: 1.75 cm (3/4 inch). I have used this watch for two years now (300+ dives) and have never had any issues. Changed battery once, which was very easy to do.

Hope this helps!
Hi, If in the future I get this item (Sherwood Transmitter for the Amphos Air), will I be able to connect this transmitter to this watch?
Eric P on Aug 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, this computer is not air integrated. For air integration please look at
Does comp come with sensor for stage 1?
Aaron M on Nov 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This is not an air integrated computer. Does not have a sensor.
How about battery consumption?
I heard horror stories that some brands/models cosnume the battery in a week.
Pelle on Oct 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Used normally as a Dive computer battery life should operate normally for one year or 300 dive hours if two dives are conducted during each dive period.
How conservative is this computer?
I currently use a Mares Nemo Sport. Love the way it functions. However, it is seriously conservative. It makes my dive shorter than my dive partner's computer by at least 5 minutes on every dive.
BOBBY S on Jul 1, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It uses the DSAT Decompression Model (Modified Haldanean) algorithm. This computer will be very similar in terms of algorithm as your Mares. If your partner is using an Oceanic with the dual algorithm he may have it set to the less conservative setting in which case he can change it to match your computer so you both get similar profiles. or you may want to get an Oceanic so you have the option to choose which algorithm you want to use.
My watch came with two straps and the smaller, default one barely fits around my arm. How do I change it to the bigger strap?
A shopper on Jun 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Sorry I can't help you - my watch fit. Right outside the box.
Thank you,

Does this computer use the same algorithm as the Wisdom and Insight models? I am looking for a backup computer that will give me a comparable profile. Thanks!
A shopper on Aug 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes I believe all the Sherwood computers run off the same algorithm.
