Very good regulator. Dove Monterey with it the other day and breathes great. Brian X.

Can't beat the price

By James W.

Great budget regulator for weekend warriors. The first stage is sturdy, maybe even a little heavy but feels great. The second stage is light, breathes very well, and looks to be made of good quality parts. This reg is not flimsy at all, I feel like I don't have to worry about breaking anything if it get knocked around in my bag or on kit. The only drawback was the flex material but that's totally personal preference.

Great low cost regulator

Very nice, breaths well and inexpensive. I dive Scubapro and purchased the unit as a backup or loaner for friends.

Leaking, free flowing

By Richard V.

I bought this mid Jan 2017 as part of a BCD, regulator package that's offered here. Did not get a chance to test it then for was busy with my trip to Asia and I trusted Leisurepro to give a good quality product. I finally was able to test it on March 2017 before some fun dives. It's simply leaking, you can hear it. Once on the water, it free flows massively. I've found ways to minimize it but it's so annoying that I have to do it all the time. Embarrassing too and I just tell people that it's very sensitive. So what I do to alleviate this, I don't open my tank until I'm really about to go underwater. But this is risky. Someday, I'd be in a rush and will forget that my tank is close. Of course with the free flowing, I've tried all the techniques that we divers do to stop it. It helps, but cmon, everytime I dive?? The alternate is doing the same thing. I've opened them both already to see if all is ok inside. Very simple design: diaphragm then lever. All looks good. No sand inside. So, something is really wrong internally that was already there right from the start. I'm within the 24 month warranty but to return it will just cost me the same as I'd buy a new, more reliable one.

BEST ANSWER: B.I. on 7/3/17
Yes, the price includes the Max-Flex hose as pictured. Just before I purchased my Alpha 7 SP5 regulator, I had switched all the hose on my old system to Flex hoses. So,I was glad this one come with the flex-hose.
will this handle 3000 psi.?
A shopper on May 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Of course. Like Howard D said, it handles any regular pressure you would see on an aluminum 80. Personally, I was fortunate enough to get 3500 a few times at the shop when I got a fill.
