Best mount for a 30cuft pony.

By Jeff

Put one on each tank strap. Then attach the pony using 2 short tank straps. It stays put and doesn't move around. Most secure I have found while still allowing quick removal of both bottles for storage and filling.

Comes with 2 brackets

This item is 2 pieces!! You only need to order one. It comes with 2 brackets, 2 wing nuts, and 2 carriage bolts (but no washers). It works fine and is very solid. It was a little difficult to thread the webbing through the slots, but that's no biggie. I also elected to wrap electrical tape around the metal surfaces to prevent the brackets from chewing up my tanks.

Good mounting bracket.

Good bracket. I use it to attach my pony to my primary. Works well with worm clamps on my pony and a small cam band to strap it to my primary. The slot for the cam band is narrower than a bcd cam band. I had to go to my lds which had one, but it was way overpriced there. I would have paid more and given this 5 stars if it came with a decent adjustable cam band. But, if you're always mounting a pony to your primary, you'd be better off with a pony tamer system. They are sturdier and easier to mount/dismount the pony bottle. This is good if you use different primary tanks or don't always use your pony.

What are the bolts and wing nuts for?

BEST ANSWER: The hardware is for using this part to mount a pony bottle / argon bottle / rebreather bottle onto a backplate... Most likely you won't need the nuts & bolts.
