FREEDOM!

It took me a minute to get used to how lightweight and minimalist this BC was. Once I adapted, I felt really free. Great BCD for a great price. Also, I chose this to cut down on our baggage weight for travel, as my other BC (which I also love) is quite a bit bulkier and heavier.

Tank strap will not fit a standard 23" aluminun tank

This BCD came with 2 tank straps. The upper strap is a simple strap with velcro attachment. It does not fit a standard 23" aluminum tank. Customer service is unable to understand the problem even though I send a picture and a detailed explanation. Unbelievable. I will have to return the BCD over this issue.

Great BC for the $

By Kenda B.

Compact, easy to travel with, very nice fit. The great quality you would expect from Zeagle. Probably my favorite BC to date. There isn’t a cumber bun, which I didn’t mind at all - but thought I’d mention it, as some buyers may not like.

Love it

Great BCD-super happy with both weight & performance. So easy to pack without sacrificing the quality/comfort on dives!

Best travel wing

By Keith H.

from Covington, LA, US

I discovered BCD wings in the Philippines and decided to try the zeagle wicked BCD, heavy duty but light for travel, that was eight years ago, I tried another brand but decided I really liked the Zeagle, so I decided on the Zeagle covert, just an upgraded Zeagle Wicked, looks almost identical. The only reason I still don't use the Zeagle Wicked is because its a medium and I should have gotten a small, after 8 years it still like new. Us I definitely recommend

Great travel BCD

By James S.

from GRANTS PASS, OR, US

Great for traveling to distant shores. If you need more than about 18 pounds of weight, get additional weight pouches for the lower tank strap. Light, compact, and easy to pack, it was all I needed for a 2 week trip to Bonaire, and used it for 3 to 5 dives every day

Great BCD

By ASHLEY H.

from dallas, TX, US

I bought because it is light and easy to travel with. Not having a back plate is has not been noticeable when diving at all. The quality is great. I was a little worried if I would like the wing style inflation but it has not been an issue. The strap releases make taking off the BCD in the water so easy. Only thing I have noticed so far is that the jacket retains some water after use.

Very Good

By james s.

Very good quality and excellent price. I bought it on sale for 199. I haven't used it yet but the medium fits good at 5'10" and 175lbs. The weight pockets are further to the back than I expected and I like it. My front side is completely open and free except for the belt and shoulder straps. I think I'm gunna like it! I am strictly a warm water, recreational diver. Y'all can have the extreme stuff. My wife didn't like the fit so much and went with a more traditional wing(TUSA).

Happy with it.

Great compromise on weight/size and functionality when traveling.

No regrets

By sixto g.

Bought this BC looking for the lightest possible weight for travel. Was a bit worried about how it would hold up with no backplate. Used it on 6 dives and I love how it performed. Very light, as long as you pull the lower strap tight it stays in place and performs very well. I have no regrets for this purchase. The maneuverability is so nice!

Awesome BCD whether traveling or not.

By BENJAMIN D.

from SLC, UT, US

This is a light BCD for traveling. I have used it on two dive trips (16 dives first trip, 4 the second). It worked great both times. I like the simple weight pockets (my wife has the Zeagle Zena, the weight pockets in that BCD are dumb). Some complaints I have read about are the limited D rings. Only has one on each side. Hasn't been a problem for me. I have also read the BCD allows some water in the inflation chamber. I've had a little water inside on occasion, but nothing serious. When we did a cavern dive and had to walk with the tanks to the Cenote, it was very comfortable to walk in even with the tank on the back.

Great travel BCD

By Doc906

from Adrogue, Buenos Aires, AR

This BCD is great for air travel. It's very light and minimalist. Weight pockets are good enough to fit a warm water setup. It felt really comfortable. D-rings are small and plastic made, but remember it is a lightweight travel bcd. Overall I was very pleased with it.

Great for travel

Very light weight. Easy to pack in your dive bag with room to spare.

Zeagle Covert

By stevie W.

from New York, DC, US

I received the bcd and when I compared it to my Ranger it was a suitable alternative. For a travelling BCD it is awesome however I would suggest you buy it one size bigger than your normal BCD. If you are used to a 45LBS lift then you will need to adjust to the lower capacity. The straps are a bit narrow and I would suggest a small d- ring to facilitate better grip and tug on the shoulder straps.

I have a long history using the predecessor to this BCD for 21 years in remote areas in the SoPac reachable only by cruising sailboats, but that venerable BCD is just worn out now. Company's founder Dennis Bulin was my neighbor growing up in landlocked Wisconsin. His integrity and leadership in developing robust products just blew me away. I'm a Zeagle advocate all the way. This replacement BCD will last the rest of my life.

Lightweight and ease of packing for travel. I like to dive my own gear but my XS Scuba wing BCD is too bulky and heavy.

HOW MANY DUMPS DOES THE COVERT HAVE & HOW MANY AND WHAT TYPE OF MATERIAL ARE THE D RINGS MADE OF?
D H on Jul 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This BCD has one dump valve on the bottom left side. The D rings are small plastic rings which are too small for my use. I plan to swap the shoulder strap D rings for larger titanium d rings.
will soft weights (16 lbs worth) really fit in these pockets?
MEREDITH M on Jun 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have used a 5/3 and 4/4 pound combinations in each pocket. I normally do not use that configuration because I don't need that much weight in the integrated pockets, and I also use tank band weight pockets for trim. If necessary, I could carry 26# or more if I would add additional tank band pockets.
What's the difference between Covert and Wicked Lite Ranger? They looks similar.

Zeagle Wicked Lite Ranger BCD
Zeagle Wicked Lite Ranger BCD
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I am a PADI Instructor and I own the Covert. It weighs 3.9#'s and feels great underwater. Very comfortable and not missing anything for warm water diving. The Wicked lite reportedly weighs the same. I appears the only difference is the patterned design. The wicked lite is no longer listed on the Zeagle website, but I was unable to verify if it has been discontinued. The covert is still listed and I love it. I hope that helps.
Whats the width of the waist webbing?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I didn't measure it but I would guess its about 40 in. I am a husky build 5' 11'' and I love this BCD It fits me with room to expand.
What is the weight capacity? If needed, could pockets be attached to the tank band?
JAMES T on Jul 22, 2013

Been diving a ranger for 15 years. I am 6'3" & weigh 220 lbs. looking at the covert as a travel bc. I live in Arkansas and make the western Caribbean 3 to 4 times a year. I wear a large ranger. What size covert do I need?
KEITH H on Jul 10, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The Covert is sized slightly differently than the other Zeagle bcs, here is the sizing chart:

The Covert does not use the Personal Fit System Vest

Measure Waist Size Measure Shoulder to Waist
XS 21"-28" XS 10"-14"
SM 25"-35" SM 14"-18"
MD 33"-41" MD 18"-22"
LG 37"-45" LG 22"-26"
XL 42"-50" XL 26"-29"
How much does this BC weigh?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: With a spare pocket and zeagle octo reg and few clip ons added it weighs right at 5 pounds. It folds up into a suitcase nicely, and supplies all the lift I need for diving with 10 lbs weights. It travels very well, and I love the fact that the weight pockets are self-contained. I always found detachable integrated pockets a pain. I would buy another one if this one gets old and worn.
Hi,

Sizing question.
my waiste is 32" which says i should get small.
but when i measure from shoulder to waist i get 20" which says i should get medium.
so what size should i get?

Thanks so much.

Tony
CHIHOW S on Oct 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Either size. The Zeagle line is adjustable. I would go with shoulder measurement.
Does this BCD have 1 or 2 cam straps?
JAMES G on Jul 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: There are 2 straps.
1 is a cam strap with a buckle.
The other is a stap with no buckle.
Male, Waist: 35, Shoulder to Waist: 18. it seems that I fit both size from size chart. which size should I pick? small or medium?
A shopper on Sep 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Medium would be my choice.
