Perfect for me. Pretty much everything I need in an advanced recreational computer. No, I'm not interested in any other option besides air and nitrox and I don't need an intergral compass. I do need a SIT reset, P0 and down dive options, alarm silencing, big screen and big legible data. Super easy to find change settings and hit "ENTER" Much easier to use than I expected. If I was doing to put a wish list together for everything I wanted in a recreational computer for an experienced diver - ...

Great Computer

By Tibor D.

Very nice computer with lots of personalized settings possible. The only thing that can be improved is the clock, which isn’t shown in dive mode.

Very good

Used the several times last week and work very well. Did not see anything that I didn’t like.

Super happy with my new Mares Quad.

Mares Quad Wrist computer was exactly the new unit I needed. Large display works well in daylight. Easy to navigate the screen even while diving. Great buy on a great computer.

Mares Quad Wrist Computer

Great computer! A large face makes it easy to read. takes some time to learn the settings, but once you've read the manual - easy!

Great help!

By Stacy T.

Jazz was amazing. She made the process so easy and quick! Will definitely buy from LP again. It’s a “no worry return” type of attitude. They want you to be happy with the products you buy.

Great dive computer

By Wayne A.

from The Villages, FL, US

I've used it in both fresh and salt water. And it performed very well. I love all the information both during the dive and afterwards. The instructions it comes with are near worthless. Get with another diver who has one and you'll be logging your dives in no time.

Great Dive Computer with the Extra Bells & Whistles

By Ifechi O.

Very clear and legible numbers. Love the fact that the safety stop countdown shows seconds as well. Very easy to navigate and change settings. Also does deep stops, deco stops and info, time in and time out info and 3 different conservation modes. Would definitely recommend this DC for the advanced recreational diver who wants to take diving up a notch.

Big bulky and does the job.

By Adrian F.

Large screen, very intuitive and a lot to like. I wear reading glasses so it is perfect for reading the screen at depth. I have used it at 40 meters multiple times and would recommend it. As a side note I did my first two nitrox dive using it and it was flawless.

For someone that has difficulty seeing the small font on computer displays this is the way to go.

Totally Pleased

By Grant M.

from Banner Elk, NC, US

This DC is everything I wanted and needed. Well constructed, quality design and materials. The screen is large, but doesn’t feel bulky on my wrist. The large digits are very easy to read in any conditions, the backlight is bright and effective. This DC is easy to program, no surprises, hardly need the manual.

I like this dive computer and would buy it again. Love the large readable numbers underwater. Dive info is easy to recall.

Great Dive CPU at the right price

By CARL B.

from Palm City, FL, US

I would like to say that this an excellent entry level computer and that it really should be the one sought after before the puck mounted style cpus or the one button touch! This CPU is built with the diver who wants to dive more than a few vacations in mind while still being simple enough for the newest of divers. Things I love about it : has air, nitrox and bottom timer settings as well as altitude in case i ever go north of florida and its sea level geography. The screen is large but not so insane that you think its cumbersome, the zoop felt larger and more awkward than this quad. Also the bungee mount is a huge bonus. Its super easy to navigate and idiot proof for those rare occasions you get a little narced Things im not a huge fan of is the lack of a screen cover so ill probably be attaching it to my spg when going for lobsters so i dont royally mess it up. On top of that I would expect something better to hook it up to a cpu then spending another 50$ on a computer cable but i guess thats where they get you. In realitly ill probably max out its number of dives and then order the coord so i dont miss out on that profile info.

What are the differences between the Nemo Wide and new Quad computers? They functionally appear the same; is the Nemo being discontinued?
ericwhlee on Nov 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are indeed similar. The Quad is more recent. It is thinner and the screen is larger. You can also customize 2 fields in the display. You have the option of turning off audible alarms on the Quad.
The button locations on the Quad are different from the Nemo as well.
We have no information at this time that the Nemo Wide is to be discontinued.
Does the nitrox percentage stay set until you change it or does it revert back to air during surface intervals?
Jill K on Apr 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I bought it as a backup computer and generally leave it set to air, so don’t remember if it stays sane for dive two as dive one - or goes into “worse case scenario mode” (79% nitrogen 99% oxygen) if you don’t reset between dives. But this is something definitely covered in the owner’s manual. Download the Manuel .PDF directly from Mares and you’ll find your answer.
What are the dimensions for this computer? I have friends who tried it and said it was huge.
Bernie M on May 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 85mm x 75mm approximately, makes it easier to read for folks that need glasses. I've used it on six dives or so and it didn't seem cumbersome in the least.
Does this computer provide the 2 minutes deepstop once you reach 80 feet or more ?
manolis p on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sorry I don’t know. I just picked up this computer as a redundant computer in case my primary computer (Atomic Cobalt) ever fails mid dive, but haven’t had a chance to dive with it yet. Still, regardless whether or not the comouter requires a deep stop as part of its algorithm, you can certainly choose do a 2 min stop at on the way up, then continue with your ascent. That’s what I usually do.
How many gases can this be use?
Aris S on Jul 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe 3, 1 air and 2 other mixes. I only use Nitrox - 32% (typically) but I noticed that there was alternate G1 and G2 settings while learning to use the computer. I only had to use G1.

One feature I liked over the Suunto computer I also use is that the gas selection does not have to be reset for each dive. Just check the mixture and if the gas is right, then move on.
Is a download cable supplied with this computer?
Eric on May 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately not. The cable is an accessory and costs approximately $50. See the accessories tab for the Mares Quad on the Leisure Pro website.
Mares Quad description states: "One or More Oxygen Enriched - Gases (up to 99%) Switching Gases During the Dive" How many gasses can be programed at a time, two, three "or more"?
MICHAEL M on Oct 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Three...
Take a peek at the manual. It is readily available online
Is there a option for transmitter on this computer ?.
A shopper on Apr 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, this is not an air integrated computer.
Does the Mares Quad backlight perform well or does it appear to be dim or lack display brightness/intensity in low light or no light dive conditions?
A shopper on May 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In my experience the backlight on the Mares Quad works well in low light conditions
Does this computer provide the 3 minutes decompression countdown once you reach 15 feet or so?
A shopper on Nov 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this computer will provide safety stop information.
