Very Comfortable

By Jon

Leisure Pro consistently delivers quickly. Great customer service with returns and exchanges.

LavaCore Shorts

I used the shorts as a base layer will reef diving and centoes diving in Cancun. They felt comfortable and dried quickly. I live in California and can't wait to use them in Monterey Bay.

Perfect for warm water diving!!

By Christine F.

from Englewood , OH, US

I love that these dive shorts are easy to get on and off and have neutral buoyancy!!! No need to carry more weight to make up the difference for a short wetsuit. Perfect for diving in Belize last week. Water temp ranged from 82 to 78 F. These combined with a Lavacore short sleeve top were left. Didn't get cold at all. Buy a little larger size than you think you'll need. They will be easier to get on and off.

Lavacore Shorts

By Steve

I wanted a bathing suit I could wear under my wetsuit but didn't want the look or material of a Speedo. This suit fits bill, the material is heavier, however, it is costly.

What is the inseam in the small size? I'm 5'3", wt 115# with a 30" waist. My men's O'Neil shorts are a size med and the waist is tight.
DOREEN S on Mar 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'8" and typically wear a 32" waist, although a 31" would be fine usually. I ordered the small, but they were too tight, so I ended up with the medium. They fit fine. I don't have them available to measure the inseam for you, but they are the same length as my neoprene shorts and my polyester-type rash guard shorts. Fairly long but right. BTW, all the lavacore stuff takes FOREVER to dry. Love the feel, but not putting on damp shorts the next morning... I have multiple pairs of shorts for that reason (I wear them instead of a bathing suit under my wet suit for diving)

Hope that helps.
can sand get in them?
A shopper on Apr 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: It's close and slim to the body and fits more to the body than slim swim wear. However if you try hard it finally gets into it. It's the perfect wear for warm water diving, easy to get on and keeps some heat to the body. Enjoy.
what size should a male 29-31 waist be wearing ?
Aloy D on Feb 29, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I not certain, I'm a 36" waist and bought a large, maybe try the medium if they don't fit return it for another size.
42-44 male waist, I don't see a sizing chart with these. What size fits?
Nate B on Aug 11, 2011
BEST ANSWER: These are awesome shorts but sizing is a little tricky. Regular pants I wear 36's and they tend to be a little loose, I ordered the XL shorts and they fit perfectly. I didn't see a sizing chart on the site but one came with the shorts themselves, according to them XL is 38-42 but they're snug on me at 36. According to their chart XXL is 40-44, 3XL 42-46, 4XL 44-48. I would recommend getting at least one size up.

Hope that helps!
Is the this material very thin like a lycra Speedo or is it thicker like wetsuit material?
A shopper on Jul 31, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The fabric has the feel and hand of lycra but is thicker, perhaps has thick as a 3mm neoprene. So it's thick and stretchy, but not stiff. And it doesn't have the rubbery smell of neoprene.
