Great shorty

Great shorty! I usedit while diving in Belize in February and it was just right to give me a little protection. The zipper in the front is a definite plus. I was worried that my bcd would press on it but no problems there. It does run small so I ordered one size larger and it worked for me.

Way too small!

I normally wear a large women's I liked the color of the mens, , so I ordered an XL, had read other reviews that this ran small, and was short waisted, that's an understatement, the XL...was too tight for 5'9 180 lb woman! I almost panicked when I could not get out of it...short from waist to shoulders, weird fit.

GREAT PRODUCT

By Francesco

I was looking for a shorty with front zipper as an alternative to my 3mm wet suite with back zipper. I believe Cressi Lido offers an excellent quality at a very reasonable price. Although taking off the Lido is not as easy as I expected, in my opinion is still more comfortable than the back zipper option. I usually wear medium and had to order a large.

Works good for me

By Bob

Zipper on front great if your like me and dive solo for getting on and off. Found sizing to be just what it said it was.

Just what you need for the BVI

By CAbob

I do most of my diving up in new england so generally when I go down to BVI I don't even use a shorty. Trying this was truly an aha moment found myself snorkeling much longer and when diving I was running out of air far before getting a chill. I liked the front zipper for me getting in and out of by myself much easier. The bad thing I can say about it is like all my wet suits it tends to shrink between thanksgiving and news year...

Happy with my purchase

By Mike g.

This shorty wetsuit was used for the first time this past weekend. It was easy to put on and kept me very comfortable in the 8! degree F (surface temp) water off North Carolina's coast. It fit as described. I plan on also using in cooler waters during kayaking trips. Seems well made and just what I was looking for.

This is good investment and I'm so happy now to have it. Size is perfect, "Cressi" is always the best.

Very Happy!

By Wayne H.

The Cressi Shorty wetsuit was received in a few days, good condition, quality product, excellent value. Note: Based on other reviews on sizing, I ordered one size up and the fit is good.

Perfect for warmer water diving that I did

By Dale S.

from Morristown, TN, US

As I get older, I found I tend to get cold in even relatively warmer water (like 81-85 degree F water), so I wanted something to knock the chill off without getting too warm, as I knew I'd be doing a lot of diving. This shorty did the trick... so well in fact, that I would wear it daily in the pool at our hotel in St. Croix, as well as on almost daily dives. I may have gotten a few looks, but I was comfortable, so I didn't care. :-) My only warning is to buy a size larger than you think you need (based on the sizing chart). I am about 6' and have a 32-33" waist (an inch or two more then when I was younger, but not really over weight). I initially got a Large based on the sizing chart, (and knowing they should fit snug), but it was too tight and constricting. Luckily LeisurePro's return/exchange policy is excellent as I swapped it for an X-Large and it fit perfectly as it should, snug but not like a boa constrictor).

Good product but sizing is off on the 2XL

By Marcus S.

from Spartanburg, SC, US

The 2XL is not correctly sized. I am right at the specs listed for the 2XL but it is way too tight. I could put it on but I would not be able to keep it zipped or breath. The quality is good. I like most all Cressi products but they got the sizing way off here. If you are a 2XL and looking for a suit your size, this will not be it.

runs small

ordered the XXL and at 195 lbs. 5' 8" was still tight I intend to lose 10lbs.think it will work for me

Effective protection from cold, but sizes run very small

Good product & fast shipping.

By Robert B.

from Phoenix, AZ, US

The Cressi 2 mm Front Zipper Lido Men's Shorty arrived ahead of schedule and is a quality product at a great price. I am 5'10' and 175lbs and a XXL is almost to small. ( no XXXL available)

Great quality, but runs very small

By Leroy G.

from Walla Walla, WA, US

I love this shorty, and it seems put together very well. I usually wear a Medium, but I heard this runs small, so I ordered a Large. It's made in Cambodia, where the people must be very small. Even the size Large was too small. I had to return it for an Extra Large, which seems to fit well. So be prepared to order 1-2 sizes larger than you usually wear. The LP return policy is excellent, so just be ready to return it for another size if the first try doesn't fit.

Sizing is ridiculous

By arg

I saw in the reviews that these suits run small, so I ordered an XXL, the only time in my life. I am usually a Large, sometimes XL if I want a loose fit. I would say it is barely an American Large, and only if you are a skinny teenager. It is more like a Medium if you have an adult build. That happens a lot with items made overseas. It is a well-made suit, and with the stretch I can get into it and it is fairly comfortable. But I was afraid I might have to cut myself out of it - the shoulders are so tight, and with the front zip, it took me ten minutes to finally work one shoulder free and get it off. Funny, just yesterday I was talking to someone from Taiwan who said that there she is a large, and here she is a small. Overseas manufacturers have a lot to learn about sizing. It is otherwise a nice suit, but since the sizing is a complete shot in the dark, I can't recommend it.

Excellent 2mm wetsuit. NOTE: Order 2 sizes larger than you wear. I wear a LG and the 2XX fit perfect.

Im 5'11 weight 165lbs waist 32 would a size medium be good? Also will this suit good for the all warm ocean diving?
Doug C on Jun 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Definitely not.
Get an XL at least!

I'm 5-10/180lb/33w. I bought a L. Waaay too small! I'm overseas so couldn't easily return it so I gave it away. It was so small I didn't think the XL would fit either so bought a XXL. That fits fine. A little roomy but better that than too tight. I can put it on over trunks without flashing my business to my buddies.

Great warm water suit.
I'm 5'9,225 lbs, 38 waist, would a XXL FUT ME?
Pete X on Nov 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Hi Pete X -

We bought the LR (large) and it fit the hubby just fine. He is 5'4", 180lbs, 37" waist. I bet you would fit in the XL just fine. The XXL might be too big because they kind of stretch out in the water.
Would a size large work if I am 6'1", 34" chest, and 145lbs? Too tight length wise? Or would an XL be better and hopefully there is not too open space in the chest area? Would the sizing be the same for all cressi shortys?
Timothy on Nov 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They run small, so go larger. One thing to note while this shorty is comfortable, no zipper digging into your back, it's front zipper usually means getting someone to help getting it off.
I'm 5'11" 210 lbs 36 waist 46 chest would a 2xxl be a good fit?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This suit is sized very small. I'm 5"11 175lbs 33inch waist and 42" chest and I bought a XL but had to send it back as it was too small. I exchanged it for an XXL and it is a little tight in the chest and underarms - I can still use it but wish it had a little more room. Also very difficult to take off when its wet.
I weigh 182 lbs. is an XL Shortie too big for me?
What size is recommended for me, as I am 64 years old and
I would use to swim laps in pool.
A shopper on Dec 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: For comparison , I bought Large , and I weight 163 lbs, my size is 5-9 .(1.74 cms) and it fits very snug , maybe a bit too much .
Does this item keep you warm?
A shopper on Jan 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I like to use a thin shorty when diving in 70-75' water. I have used this suit and a similar one in Bonnaire in November 2011 and in the Bahamas in September 2012. I generally wear this over a dive skin and find that I am comfortable for both daytime and night dives.

The extra layer of neoprene adds comfort for me.

I am now in my mid-60's and when younger woudl dive with just the skins, but now find the additional insulation eliminates the chill after 40-50 minutes of a shallow dive.
any reason can't wear over my 3 mil full suit?
JEFFREY S on Oct 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Layering up wet suits is common practice, if you do not face waters that would require a 5mm suit often layering up two 3mm suits may be a smart way out of not having an extra suit that does not get much use.
does the front zipper have a neoprene backing that completely protects/blocks the zipper from your skin to prevent pinching and pulling of hair?
jarrod on Aug 30, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does. I have not used it yet. Purchased for a fall trip to Bahamas, but I checked the zipper flap last evening and it is fully protected from skin contact.
Hi, iam 5-8inch,180lbs.i have long torso, shorter legs..would my size be XL?plan on doing swimming,snorkeling..thanks.Scott( looking at the 2mm-shorty-leisurepro)
Scott on Sep 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Scott:
I am 5ft 7in and weigh 180, and have a size XL. It is a good fit on me. I wear a 29 or 30 inch inseam, so if yours is the same, then we have about the same body length. I hope this helps.

I've asked for help with size? 5'8"210
Ken M on Feb 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Ken,

based on your height you are a size medium.
based on weight you are between an XL and XXL.
i would try on a size large or XL.
Size chart has s2 in that small or xsmall?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2012
BEST ANSWER: S/2 is small in Men's sizes.
