Lionfish Spear

By Robert G.

from Castle Rock, CO, US

Wonderful ordering process. Was delivered on time. Spear worked perfectly. Was able to spear about 24 lionfish during my trip. Each prong contains one barb. Works really well holding on to the lionfish. However makes it a little hard to get off.

Lionfish Polespear

The spear is exactly what I expected. The 6 barbed prongs are much better than the standard pole spears. Took it out the weekend that I got it and slayed lionfish didn't miss a single one.

does the spear actually have six prongs?
AP A on May 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The spear does have 6 prongs with barbs.......all good......however, the spear head/prongs doesn't detach/unscrew from the shaft, thus is somewhat difficult to pack, if you plan to carry it somewhere you have to fit it into a suitcase. I've bought a half dozen spears over the past 10yrs or so, and this one is more difficult to pack and carry than those that have the removable spear head.
Does the 20 inch length include the length of the barbs too. Or is that just the length of the pole?
Alan A on Dec 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: we ordered the 28 inch pole. the total length of the pole and barb are 32 inches. the barb does not come off as told by the company rep i talked to.
