Works well and the price is right

By Chris

Great trim pockets for the price. Not much to say about them other than they work and fit nicely on my 2" tank cam band

great pockets

By KENNETH D.

great versatile pockets, I made a custom weight belt with d rings and weight stops, and use for trim weights on my tank

Does your tank get to buoyant near the end of a dive and you keep getting banged in the head from the valve, or maybe you would like to relieve your hips from all that weight from your weight belt or you're looking for a simple weight pocket to string on your weight belt? Whatever you need to get more stability or comfort in diving from the lead weight this XS Scuba Single Tank Weight Pocket can help.

Pocket easily attaches by sliding over the end of any 2" (5.1cm) cylinder band, weight belt webbing or harness depending on where you want to hang the pocket. It can also work with XS Scuba's Pony-Pac Harness (see SKU: XSSPPH). Durable and strong nylon construction with hook and loop closure and taped and stitched edges for long life, pocket can hold up to 5 lbs. (2.27 kg) of shot or hard lead. XS Scuba's Single Weight Pocket is perfect for adjusting your trim and is available in multiple colors.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  there is a belt loop in the back ???
MICHAEL J  Yes - they work great
JUNE H  Yes, you can install it on the belt or webbing.
JULIA O  Yes, there is a belt loop
RON P  Yes. It's made for the standard 2" wide heavy duty webbing. BTW, I've used these pockets for nonditchable weights on my tank straps as well as on a standard weight belt.
Shopper  It has been suggested that a simple 2 lb ( varies based on person/bcd etc) trim weight on the back of tank will avoid the face down push of a back inflation bcd. Has anyone else had experience using the pocket to do this?
ROBERT M  I purchased 2 of these to add pockets for non-releaseable weights on my non-integrated BC. They were large enough for the 4lb weights I used(a 2lb weight would flop around) and they worked fine for about 5 dives. However one started to shred at the side seam and I had to discard it before it broke and lost the weight. I'm not sure that I would purchase one of these again.
BERNARD R  If your BCD pushes you forward enough that it's noticable, 2 lbs on the back of your tank probably won't help. I recommend you look for another BCD; I did just that when I had a similar problem. Being pushed forward by your BCD can be dangerous, especially when you surface in choppy water and you're out of, or low on air. It happened to me and I can only recommend a flotation device that solves the problem. I do like having weight on my back, but a BCD with rear weight pockets or a weight belt loaded to the rear is a better way to go. Experiment with different combinations in calm water. Good luck and happy diving.
DAVID M B  You will always play with weight pocket locations for trim. On my system, Once the correct location was found, it is worth its value. Very durable product, ez to use
LEONARDO D  I use this, because I don"t like to carry all the weight on my hip.It 's beter for my back
DAVID B  I haven't tried it myself but it 's worth s try.
MARK E  I suggest 2 pockets with 2# each. I tried one pocket but it makes it hard to adjust the strap. With 2 you have good balance and easy access to the strap.
Shopper  what is the size of this pocket?
LEE S  I found that a 5 lb. soft weight barely fit in it, and was so tight that it made a hard ball on my belt. Also, I lost one on a dive because the pocket came open. I don't recommend them.
ALAN D  4" X 4"....why doesn't leisure pro provide this information to you? If I can measure the item why can't leisure pro?
JAMES W  It will easily hold a (5) lb hard or soft weight, BUT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting this pocket at the current time. I have (4) of them and have found that the velcro flap is not strong enough to hold the weight in the pocket if a diver is horizontal or inverted. I'm working with XS Scuba on replacing the pockets that I have and they have just sent me two of their pockets with the weight ditching tabs on them for evaluation and the velcro is MUCH stronger on them. The pockets are just the right size for trim weights but I'd advise against this particular product right now until they have made the design change to put a better velcro on the flaps.
STERLING L  The pocket is 4" square when the velcro flap is closed. After the pouch is mounted on a tank strap, if you need to insert the strap through the mounting openings of a wing, the pouch's bottom folds up inside the pouch, reducing the dimensions to 4x3" so it can tuck neatly through the opening. The pouch neatly holds a 2# hard or soft weight (but I've squeezed a 3# soft weight in). I place two pouches on the upper tank band and use them for 4# total of trim weight. To install the pouches or to remove them, you have to take off the tank band.
MICHAEL R  I used 2 pockets with 4lb. weights to balance / trim my KISS Rebreather. The 4 lb. weight fits loosely in the 4" square pocket. It would probably hold a little more since the sides and top can be pushed out a little larger...
WAYNE M  The pocket is just big enough to fit a 4 lb. weight.
Shopper  Is this for one or a set of two
LeisurePro S  Just the one pocket.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
VALERIE G  friend really liked these and the price was right
LUIS C  Good prices
RICHARD M  Price and simplicity
Donald R  Purchased to hold trim weights on tank band. Will be used with Zeagle Covert back inflate BC.
WALTER R  Easy to change weights on vacation.
Mark O  This is a great price for these. I am adding this to my tank straps to adjust my overall weight for different situations. Having a little weight on the tank helps if you drop a weight belt so you won't fly to the surface like a rocket.
GEORGE S  I purchased these to help trim out with my sediment rig and to add some weight for drysuit diving.
WILLIAM E  I purchased these single weight pockets to use to place trim weights on aluminum cylinders to be used for sidemount diving.
CARL S  I needed to add weight pockets on the back of my BC. These were ideal.
KEITH W  I use this on my rubber weight belt. I can reposition the pouches quickly to adjust to the dive gear configuration. They hold up to four pounds of hard/soft weights and are very tough.
PAUL O  Needed back weights to get good trim.
JOHN O  I wanted to borrow a back plate/wing set up from a buddy and maybe get out of the typical BC set up. I needed these to try and get as streamlined as I could get.
KEITH A  Best Fit for a custom weight belt.
DAVID B  Used to augment weight bearing aspects of BC.
DAVID B  Used to augment weight bearing aspects of BC.
MIKE P  helps with the weight and getting underwater, plus its not around the waist
DAVID S  I use these for weight pockets on the belt of my BPW setup and secure them with zip ties to stop them from sliding
MICHAEL R  Good pocket to use to add trim weights
