Awesome Gun

By Nolan

I know it is very hard to find a review on this gun since it is so new, but I thought I would help you guys out. I bought the 75cm version and absolutely love it, I live in San Diego so the majority of spearing I do is relatively close to shore and in the kelp beds. The gun has about 7-9ft of range with the one band on it to make an effective kill, I would recommend adding another band though which will add power at those longer distances. It is very easy to control and move in the water as w...

Compact great little gun

By MICHAEL K.

Great little spear gun. Compact. Only complaint is that it does not come with rigging instructions.

The Cressi Apache Spear Gun is an entry level small and compact gun for small to medium fish or as a second gun when hunting big fish. Cressi is world renowned in the spearfishing scene and has consistently manufactured top spear guns in the industry for many years. This gun is an excellent choice where fishing in holes, around rocks, shallows and where the quarry is in close proximity. The Apache incorporates a closed muzzle, which helps with ease of loading and improved accuracy. The sealed 26mm (1") barrel is anodized for enhanced corrosion resistance, while the ergonomic molded handle permits easier maneuverability and quick muzzle pointing. The 13mm (0.5") power band is fitted with a standard stainless steel wishbone and the gun includes the widely preferred Tahitian style tip with flopper shaft barb.

The gun handle has a safety for the trigger mechanism and a line drop. The 6.5mm (0.26") stainless steel shaft has dual notches for variable loading power or an additional band for more power. The gun is available in multiple lengths from 35cm to 75cm (13.8" to 29.5"). So if you're new to spear fishing or you need a second gun when hunting big game the Cressi Apache Spear Gun is an excellent choice.

As advertised

By JASON M.

I bought this as an upgrade from a sling. its perfect for snorkeling reefs and has a solid 10 ft kill radius. I was impressed with the power of the single band. Would definitely recommend as entry level spear gun.

My first speargun. Couldn't ask for more.

By Bsnith

This is my first speargun. I purchased the 75cm gun. It is simple to operate with a simple and effective safety. Very accurate. It is fairly hard to load. I would recommend a loading pad for your chest. It is quite painful without one. So far I have speared mangrove snapper, spadefish, sheepshead, and lesser amberjack. I was able to hit them anywhere I wanted. Just point and shoot. Longest shot so far was about 6-7 ft and was no problem. Everything you need is in the box. Except crimps for the shooting line. The gun floats when the spear is not attached.

Great gun, shockline is a little long but that is easily remedied.

Can't go wrong for the money

By Anthony R.

from Minneapolis, MN, US

This gun does not come with a shock cord or line. The line attaches to the butt-end of the shaft, so the best solution I found was a 2mm mono, looped and crimped to the shaft, with shock-line attached to the mussel. All said, tack on an extra $30-$40 dollars to the price for rigging. As far as performance, it might be a single-band, but it has true-aim and still has good power. It's probably best for smaller reef fish like snapper. If you shoot a decent sized grouper, aim well because a glancing shot might not penetrate far enough for the barb to go through, and no one wants to injure fish that aren't harvested. This would make a great 2nd gun for your float as well. It's light and positively buoyant. I was very happy with this as my intro-gun to spearfishing.
