Start spearfishing

By Casey B.

It works very well. This is my first gun so I don't have any thing to compare it to. But I have had no problem with this one. Great starter for a great price.

Comanche has been the world champion spear gun in 1988, 1992 and 2004, and still today it is a fantastic, reliable and very precise spear gun. A favorite among sport fishermen who demand impeccable performance, zero problems and a minimum level of sophistication from their spear guns every time. This proverbially ergonomic and versatile butt is suitable for every type of fishing and shooting from any position. Smooth and fast coupling of the rod and cassette mechanism, tough, reliable and compatible with all types of shafts, tolerant of different heights, finishing and machining. Integrated, discreet and effective automatically retractable double loop line located on the corner between the trigger guard and the base of the barrel.

The handle is in anti-slip thermoplastic silver-gray rubber, so it is discreet yet visible on the seafloor. Load assist, bayonet reel-anchoring system, 4 different line hooks. New 28mm-diameter barrel with an integrated guide in anticorodal aluminum with very rigid circular section, which offers a good compromise between structural resilience, low production costs and ease of movement in every direction underwater. It is a very manageable, agile and multipurpose spear gun. New compact, hydrodynamic and minimized closed muzzle. The hook for the bands is aligned with the barrel so that the traction is perfectly aligned. The visibility offered by the muzzle is excellent and aiming is precise, fast and intuitive. Integrated metal fairlead for a dual pass.

High-quality parallel elastic bands in pure black latex, 16mm in diameter and articulated wishbone. They can be substituted by the stronger S45, 18 mm in diameter, or the larger versions, like the G20, 20 mm in diameter. French articulated wishbone. This is the best, safest and easiest hook wishbone due to its angular design and profile of the plate. Stainless steel AISI 304 notched shafts hardened 17-4 PH 6mm with lock washer and lock nut. Shaft comes equipped with a single flopper point tip. High-quality caps in Delrin with threads designed so that threading and unthreading the bands can be done easily by hand, no tools needed. Special handle angle to increase the shot's precision. The Comanche Rail Spear Gun is available in 5-model lengths depending on your hunting needs. Gun comes in: 60cm, 75cm, 90cm, 100cm and 110cm (23.6", 29.5", 35.4", 39.4" and 43.3") lengths. Includes an owner's manual.

from Tampa, FL, US

First time I loaded the threads pulled out of the cap that holds the band to the gun, screwed it back in, fired it twice and now the pin has fallen out that holds the “wishbone” together. Very unhappy with the quality

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
pierrick C  it seems a good compromise and it comes recommended
Ryan M  I was looking for a speargun that allowed me to advance my abilities but was still a size I was able to practice with for diving closer to shore
chris r  im looking to add a second band for more power (ive got the cressi comanche 75). what band size do/should I buy?
Mario C  we only carry the primary band for it. We do not have the info on what would be an appropriate second band for it. Better contact the manufacturer for a more educated recommendation.
Shopper  Im looking for a gin can allows me to use In Illinois waters up to 15ft... Any recommendation?
Mario C  Thank you for your question and answer. Mike is right i would also add along with visibility, range is a factor ( also affected by visibility conditions) the longer the gun the more range it has the less maneuverable it is.
Mike T  Hi There, it really depends on water visibility but a 60 or 75cm will do the trick.
