No problems. Worth the extra dollars over brass.

Very satisfied with our double snap

By Tom R.

This double snap has been a perfect fix for our issue. Would highly recommend.

We always need to attach more stuff to our equipment to free up our hands when we need them. Lanyards for lights, cameras, gauges, game bags, or maybe even a fish stringer when spear fishing. Having a few spare bolt snap clips in your gear bag is a must for the serious diver. Blue Reef double ended bolt snap is made of Marine grade stainless-steel. This heavy-duty bolt snap is designed for saltwater-use and feature dual snap ends for ease-of-connection. The bolt snap has a spring-loaded gate for easy attachment of accessories. The bolt snap is available in multiple lengths of 3.25", 4" and 4.63" (8.26 cm, 10.2 cm and 11.8 cm).

Stainless Steel clip for BCD

By Luthin C.

Worked well for clipping accessories to my BCD.

The snaps have performed great.

The snaps are great quality and do just what they are supposed to. I switched most of my gear to SS snaps instead of retractable tethers. I look much less like a Christmas tree.

Quality double-enders

By Stephen H.

These seem to be quality double-enders with solid snap action. No sharp edges or any other defects that I've seen or felt. The 3.25" size is a little small for my hands (I wear M/L gloves), especially with thicker gloves on. I'm sure my dive buddies with smaller hands will put them to good use though.

Attach it—Don’t loose it!

from Palmetto bay, FL, US

I have plenty of these on hand. If U spear fish and lobster hunt, these are essential for attaching bags, stringers, lights, reels and many other accessories. Easy to open with gloves on too. Quality SS.

from Houston, TX, US

Useful versatile. Use to clip fins on bcd when drying, clip on camera lighrs dangling regs

SS Bolt Snaps

They seem to be good quality stainless; I've seen some that are not so much. I'm satisfied!

By Jo F.

from Wildwood , FL, US

Bought this to connect my underwater camera to my BCD. Very easy to connect and disconnect. Had a lot of trouble disconnecting with the plastic kind but with this steel one I can disconnect my camera in seconds.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Kathy R  Ease of fastening.
GUILHERME P  lost some of mine
Tom R  Replacement part for part of our waste management system.
Thomas H  Use to keep dive mesh bag open during artifact collection
frederick j  wanted a stronger product
jackie b  I am an instructor and these are by far the best way to attach slates, flashlights, computers, really any accessories with ease of connect and disconnect.
Larry H  Great for attaching equipment to your D-rings.
Matt B  Have one need two. Very handy and I find multiple uses for the double ended snap. Noise maker on my tank to containing birds nests of fishing line found while on reef clean ups.
Gregg B  While at Socorro and Nuku Hiva we had big seas and my previous marker buoy (SMB) was grossly inadequate to be seen in the water. I purchased the 7' sausage with through-the-leg strap and now safely clip it to my BC with the stainless bolt snap. High visibility and security!
Shopper  How much weight will this Stainless Steel Double Ended Bolt Snap hold?
RICHARD M  I have not tested it. It seems to be very sturdy.
aw a  No idea what the maximum. It is designed to be a convenience fastener, with convenient slide gates. Those gates are not typically used where significant weight is attached. I use it on my canister light, smb, camera gear.
Shopper  What grade stainless steel is this item?
CYNTHIA C  Love it!!! Would buy it again. No rust after three years and I dive a lot.
Jorge I  Although I am not a metallurgical expert and I do not have the means to determine what type of stainless steel it is. If I can say that it is resistant to salt water, the spring of the bolt that closes does not harden does not lock in its operation, it supports the weight of an AL 80 tank full of air, about 18 kilos (40 pounds approximately), in synthesis it is rustic and works well.
