Powerful light brings out amazing colors, battery takes long time to recharge but it last 2hrs+, I used it alone or mounted on a gopro

Have used on several night dives. Lights up the night. Did a burn test and the battery lasted 2 hours on high. Like the ability to go from flood to spot. Also can go red.

The VTL3500P offers both a flood beam at 120° and a narrow beam at 10°! The light is controlled by a reliable push-button on/off switching system with 4 levels of brightness for the wide beam, 1 level for the narrow beam, and 1 for the red beam. The light comes with a sturdy Goodman-style glove for hands-free operation, a standard 1" (25.4mm) ball joint for easy camera set-up, a removable yellow filter, and a reliable 32650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack and charger. The VTL3500P Light has a battery level indicator on the switch that provides a blue/green/red/flashing red color indicators.

The VTL3500P, 3500 Lumens LED Video Tech Light utilizes 7 x XML LED + 2 XPE Red LED that provide a light output of 350 lumens (Level I), 875 lumens (Level II), 1750 lumens (Level III), and 3500 lumens (Level IV). Light output in spot mode is 1,000 lumens and in red color mode output is 100 lumens. Lights burn times are 1.5-hours (Level IV), 3-hours (Level III), 6-hours (Level II), and 15 hours (Level I). Light has a wide 120° beam angle for shooting video and a narrow beam angle at 10° for use when using as a dive light, with a color temperature of 6500K. The Bigblue VTL3500P Light is constructed and built to last from aluminum alloy with an anti-corrosive black anodized finish, tempered optical glass lens and a double O-ring seal that provides a 330' (100 meters) depth rating. The light measures (L x Dia.) 5.54" x 2.2" (140.6 x 55.5mm), weighs 15.24 oz. (432 g) with batteries and is negative -7.23 oz. (-205 g) underwater. Included with the light is an owner's manual.

James O  Looking at this VTL3500P and wondering if it also comes with a Dry Bag, as the VTL3800P does? Leisure Pro specs state 3800P takes (4) 18650 Li—ion batteries, but it actually uses (1) 32650 as this VTL3500P. So difference is 300Lumen & a Dry Bag. But is it worth the extra $$$ over this VTL3500P?

REBECCA CLARK T  The light comes with a glove mount that you can attach to your hand. However, I purchased my light with a Beneath the Surface Tray & Flex Arms Model #3 for GoPro. Then I went to a hardware store and purchased screws to mount the flex arms to the lights because they were not included.

JAMES S  I use a “butterfly clip” bought on amazon. Make sure you buy an all aluminum one! The first one I bought was plastic and it wouldn’t hold the weight of the big blue. Also suggest you get “gearminder” which attaches to big blue and BC with retractable cord...that way if you drop it, you don’t lose it
TRAMAINE B  You could probably drill some holes in the glove mount or not use the glove mount and use the pre existing screws To mount the go pro ans just use the lanyard as your grip
Gabriela B  I didn’t mount it together with the gopro because I think it is a little heavy to use together. In my opinion you should use the light with the “hand” accessory and carry the gopro in the same hand. Unless you have those support that carry both gopro and light.

MARK C  The light is bigger and heavier than the GoPro. I mounted the go pro to a GoPro pole in the standard fashion. Then I drilled an extra hole in the pole and Secured a ball mount. I used a clamp to connect a ball mount secured to the light with the ball mount on the pole. It works great but it is heavy.
HARRY M  I did not mount it on my GoPro, I wear my GoPro on my left hand and the light on my right. That set up lets me control both devices independently.
DALE F  This is an awful big light for a go pro, but if your go pro is in a tray you can use standard ball clamps and arms to attach to the tray. I have mine mounted on my camera case with a cold shoe ball and a clamp.

BRANDON H  Yes the battery is included and I believe that it is a very high quality rechargeable LiPo battery if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't attempt to replace this battery with a "D" cell or any other off the shelf battery because it's not likely to fit or perform. The VTL3500 also comes with a battery charger. Charge it and enjoy it. No worries about batteries. By the way, these lights are amazing - we've had 2 of them for ~1 year with ~ 10 dives. No problems. Our only concern is after a few years the rechargeable batteries may weaken and will likely be costly to replace.
