A must have to protect tanks in transit

By DAVID S.

I use them while transporting tanks mainly, in truck or in wells of boat. Keeps tanks from banging together, damaging finish. I use only for transportation not while diving.

If you want to keep the paint job looking good on your cylinder or maybe you want to kind of hide a lousy looking chipped paint job, this tank net is just what you need. Made from thick high visibility mesh for durability and proper drainage, choose from blue, yellow or black. The Aqua Tank Net is designed for 7.25" diameter cylinders.

Bought two for two cylinders. Choice of colors is good, although wish orange was one of them. Sturdy material and overall great product.

Protect your equipment. You spent a lot of money to get set up so spend a little to take care of it.

Tight fit, works fine.

Protects the tank

By greig

Keeps the tank safe from scratches, gouges, and makes it easily identifiable among your groups tanks.

Very useful product for vis & safety

By DANIEL S.

This product is good for protecting the tank's paint, for deading the sound and for added safety and vis, if you purchase the yellow or green nets.

Catches on my cam band

By brent b.

from Kansas City, KS, IT

I'll start off by saying I live in Italy right now. If they have a net over their tanks, they use twine, and not plastic, and its much longer in length. The plastic netting isnt long enough to go up the neck very far, and even with the addition of a bungee cord, I get all these plastic spikes ready to get caught on my cam band when im assembling my gear. If the netting was as long as a regular AL80 tank, then i think it would be nice, but its not and the edges catch on everything.

Tank Net

By David K.

from Ray Township, MI, US

Well this one fits over the tank. First ones I ordered not so much. It was twice as heavy and would not stretch over the tank too well. At half way on they just jammed up and had to be cut off. If ever possible to fit on, never would come off for use or tagging.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Sean N  To protect my carbon fiber SCBA tank/cylinder.
Roger R  keeps tanks from dinging and marking fiberglass boat
DANIEL B. S  The nets help holding tanks on the BCs, give the BC strap something to hold on to. Purchasin in Aug '07 still being used
Bob L  To protect my tanks of course and the price was right and there was free shipping. Very happy with them.
RICHARD A  Keep those tanks from clanking around!
Shopper  Do you take the net off or leave it on when diving?
CHRIS C  leave it on it protects the tank from scratches and dings, and also helps keep the tank secure in the BCD straps
RANDY L  I take mine off when diving. Its easier to get on the BC
BILLY C  I take the net off. It slides on and off easily. It i protects the tanks from scratches etc. when transporting.
HENRY V  Personally I leave it on. It fits quite snugly and it is there for protection of the tank and they do get knocked over or dropped when in harness so why not leave it on. IMOHO Hank
JENNIFER R  I take it off. It is a pain if you leave it on.
ROBIN B  I have seen divers do both. I take it off because I do not want anything to interfere with my tank being secure on my BC.
ORVILLE H  We leave it on all the time, the net and boot come off for annual inspections and Hydro's
JAMIE S  I take it off; the net does a great job protecting the tank when it’s in the boat or being stored. When diving you really want your BC to attach to the tank directly and the BC will probably damage the netting. As soon as i get a second set of tanks I will buy netting for each.
VINCE C  Its really more to protect the finish when being banged aroun. I leave it on. :)
Roger R  I have one on every tank and they stay on for years - never had to replace one. Also have boots on them all; because they both protect the tank from dings as well as protecting my boats from marks. A painted tank isn't too bad about rubbing off on a fiberglass boat; but bare aluminum will certainally leave marks you have to work at to remove. The only down-side to leaving nets on is if your BC strap won't open up enough just by unbuckling - it's hard to feed the strap over the top edge of the net. Most BCs will open enough, but it's close. I have a Scubapro, so the buckle will completely disengage allowing me to wrap it around - not slide it down. All my tanks are painted too.
STEVEN M  I left it on to help keep the tank from slipping out of my BCD and to keep it from getting scratched up.
JOE P  we leave it on. it keeps the tank from slipping
Shopper  Will this fit a 100cu hp steel tank?
LeisurePro S  Probably not, most 100cu tanks are 8" in diameter.
