10 of the Ocean’s Most Endangered Species

While the planet’s oceans seem vast and infinite in resources, humans are doing a pretty bang up job of exploiting every level of the ocean we can reach. From massive commercial trawling operations that destroy substrate ecosystems to vessels that cast nets measuring miles in length and width, anything and everything in their path is scooped up to be sorted and discarded — much of which is not the target species. This results in an increasing number of the ocean’s most endangered species.
