The Mares Prestige 12S MRSPR12SR is a compact regulator with stylish design. The 1'st stage is a balanced diaphragm design in a chromed marine grade brass body with the Tri-material Valve. The "Tri-material" valve was created to optimize performance, safety, and reliability over time. When Diving, the high-pressure valve is subjected to stresses, traditional valves these stresses, combined with extreme use, can cause premature wear of the valve with a drop-in reliability, performance, and safety. Mares new "Tri-material" valve (brass, soft polyurethane, and "heavy duty" polyurethane), is found on all Mares MRT 1'st stages. This innovative technology provides maximum performance, safety, and durability. The MARES DFC system minimizes the intermediate pressure drop which occurs in all regulators during the inhalation phase. The DFC system substantially reduces breathing effort and inhalation resistance, especially during deep dives and under high air flow conditions.

The second stage Vortex Assist Design (V.A.D.) system: the air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low-pressure area in the center this keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, giving very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths. The second stage cover features the new "mesh-grid" system for water inflow and outflow, which provides a further performance improvement. The compact and ergonomic exhaust tee ensures superior hydrodynamic performance and reduced exhalation resistance. Mares Prestige second stage incorporates the Fluid Dynamic Deflector, which is engineered to receive and properly direct the airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece. Combined with the VAD system it delivers very natural and effortless breathing. All enclosed in a lightweight Techno-Polymer housing. Regulator has the Super flex hose. Hose is extremely light weight and exceptionally soft, guaranteeing the maximum freedom of movement and reducing jaw fatigue. Superflex hose has 3/8" Threads and is 31.5" (80 cm) in length.
Octopus MV: was created from the experience of the Mares Laboratories, directly as a dedicated Octopus. The MV Octopus is a lightweight, minimum dimensioned, and its characteristically compact shape, makes the MV easy to dive with. The special symmetrical shape means the octopus is equally easy to use on the right or the left, for increased safety. The MV Octopus 2'nd stage with its Vortex Assist Design (V.A.D.) System: all Mares 2'nd stages offer the unique patented VAD system. The air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low-pressure area in the center this keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, giving very sensitive & easy breathing at all depths. The MV Octopus case is made from sturdy & durable techno-polymer that has superior resistance to abrasion. The MV Octopus is a reliable, & simple downstream demand valve design. Octopus regulator comes with a standard 3/8" threaded yellow 39.4" (100 cm) hose, & weighs 6.17 oz. (175 g).

Genesis Compact Console is just that low profiled and ergonomically designed to fit in the hand comfortably, and is easy to read at a glance with its outstanding graphics. The Compact Console has an air-filled depth gauge with a 0' to 200' readout and maximum depth indicator. The colored graphics allow quick glance monitoring with bright red depth indicators at strategic positions on the gauge face. The red indicators are at 0', 10' and then from depths beyond the standard sport limits of 130' to 200'. The depth range between 35' and 120' are in blue and bright orange markers indicate the deco-stop depths between 20' and 30'. Gauge face is luminescent for low light situations.

Pressure Gauge reads pressure up to 5000 psi and features a thermometer for temperature readings. As like the depth gauge, the SPG has high visibility graphics with bright red from 0 to 500 psi reserve air orange indicators between 500 to 1,000 psi for extended reserve air for deeper dives and blue between 1,500 to 5,000 psi and the gauge face is also luminescent.

Both gauges are small 1.75" diameter and protected by a sleek impact resistant rubber boot that has dual rubber eyelets for attachment of a lanyard or clip keeping the diver streamline and reef and environment conscious. Console also has a small slate located on the back side that can be removed to incorporate the compass option (see SKU: SWDCM6).

The Mares Prime , comfort and style in a BCD that will amaze you, standard BCD with MRS Plus Mechanical Release System for Integrated Weights. The Prime BCD provides stowage for your octopus regulator and gauges, with roomy zippered pockets and 1-aluminum and 2-heavy-duty techno-polymer D-rings for accessory storage & attachment. The Prime's air cell is made from durable Cordura 420 nylon with a polyurethane laminated interior. The BCD has a rigid backpack system with handle. The Prime is a Jacket Style BCD providing ample Lift with 31.3 lbs. to 52.9 lbs. (14.2 to 24 kg) of buoyancy in its size range. Shoulder straps, adjustable chest strap and a waist strap are all equipped with squeeze-style" side-release buckles that along with the adjustable cummerbund provide a custom fit and ease of donning/doffing.

Buoyancy control is established with the Ergo inflator and two rear quick-dump/over-pressure relief valves. The Ergo Inflator has been designed according to ergonomic guidelines. Intuitive to use and offers maximum grip, the Ergo Inflator comes standard with a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick-disconnect hose. The MRS-Plus Weight System 13 lbs. (6 kg) Mechanical Release System in medium, large and X-large and 8.82 lbs. (4 kg) in X-small and small. A simple click ensures easy and secure storage of the weight pockets. A single outward pull on the oversized handle releases the weights. If you don't need to use the maximum weight load each pocket has Velcro dividers to eliminate weight shifting adding stability to your dive. The Prime weighs 6.8 lbs. (3.1 kg), and comes with an owner's manual.
