Just got this knife, leg straps and holder all look too be nice quality. Blade is pretty sharp. Will be diving in Florida fresh springs and Bahamas in few weeks so will report back on how it holds up and over time.
A good dive knife is a tool for diving. XS Scuba's Beta Titanium Pointed Tip is just that. Built from proprietary, custom-formulated titanium which meets the desired qualities of non-brittleness, high abrasion resistance, and high hardness scale not found in standard 6AI4V titanium knives. Yes, one strong knife is what you get; the high strength and RC Scale hardness are the very best in a 5" (12.7 cm) pointed tip blade that is custom flat ground with advanced serration on one side and straight edge on the other with a line cutter. Yes it is a tool!
Knife is approved for use by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The stainless steel hammer end and Sure-Grip handle, exclusive double-locking sheath with rubber straps will prevent knife loss and keep this diver's tool handy and ready when you need it. Knife is available in multiple colors.

The "vented clips", (for a lack of a better term) on both sides of the handle. They look lIke they can be pried off for some purpose. On the blue they are blue on the yellow they are yellow. Just curious if they somehow lock in the blade to the handle or what??
IVAN K
These clips are manipulated so the blade can be detached (released) from the handle. I did this just once ( when I got the knife) and I didn''t find any benefit from it. And now I even don''t remember how I did It.

I have no idea. I thought they were more just for looks. I have never examined them closely to see if they could be pried off. So far I am very happy with the knife. It has not rusted (like all my previous knives) and it appears to have retained its edge.

Is the handle rubber or plastic? Warranty?

YAN G

Yes this knife does come with the straps.

the knife itself is ok but the sheath will not last long , at this time my knife is sitting on a shelf with no solution in sight, the sheath has an uncurable design problem. i do not recomend this product...
JAMES J
Yes,this knife comes with the necessary mounting straps.I highly recommend this knife,it has stayed rust free for more than 5yrs. now and I dive all the time here on the east coast of Ct.
WILLIAM B
Yes, the knife comes with a strap
TOMMY T
yes. 2 places for running a strap through. one is right about were the knife goes into the sheath and the other at the tip of the knife

Does this knife have a serrated edge?
BOYD J
I think part of one side is serrated. I'm out of town till next Monday so I can't check it. We use it as a back up knife and when we have something we might want to pry on. It has held up well
TERRI L
Yes, and when you look at the picture of the knife you can see the serrated edge.
MARK K
this knife does have a serrated edge. I've used it for the last few years and it's never failed me. Plus, cleaning it is a breeze!
