About XS Scuba 3 mm RynoHyde Gloves

Gloves need to be durable and long lasting in order to use them in an underwater environment. XS Scuba's RynoHyde Gloves are just that, tuff and durable. They are the ultimate heavy-duty temperate water glove. Made from 3 mm Nylon II Super-Stretch Neoprene Rubber making them easy to put on and take off, with abrasion resistant RynoHyde Palm and Wrapped Thumbs and Finger Tips, so when used underwater, will not be cut or split from handling rough or hard items.

All seams are first Glued and then Sewn for Warmth and Strength. A wide Wrap-Around Wrist Hook & Pile Closure with Gusset allows your hands to slip in easy, yet the closure helps streamline the wrist once fastened. Closure has the XS Scuba Logo and of course they have XS Scuba's exclusive TruFit pattern for the feel of a second skin. Gloves are available in 6 sizes from X-Small to 2X-Large.

I've used this glove during open water checkouts and my own recreational dives. I may not be able to pick up a penny with these gloves but they are very functional and comfortable. I've used these gloves on numerous dives and show no evidence of falling apart.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
DAVID B  Warmth and not too thick to maneuver in
Lee H  I had 2 pair of these gloves and they were great. on my last dive my son lost one glove. so its time for a new pair and i know I like them.
David J  Do these gloves protect from Lion Fish stings? Is 3mm thick enough or is 5mm better protection?
Steve L  NO!!!!!!! Staying away from the spines is the only thing that will protect! We were using gloves that protect from hypodermic needles and the spines still found a way around! I took a bad hit in the knuckles right through a kevlar glove! Neoprene (any thickness) will not even slow down those spines. Good luck
MARGARET C  Sorry, couldn't tell you since there is no way I would touch a Lion Fish. :) Used them for the 1st time in 72 degree springs swimming with the Manatees in Crystal River, FL. Kept my hands warm.
STEPHEN M  Just got back from Rotan Honduras, there were a lot of lionfish there, and bottom line unless you had steel gloves I don't think anything would stop their sharp spines. The take-home message from the divemaster was you touch them you're going straight to the hospital. The good news is they're extremely docile fish. They stayed mainly on the bottom and are found in crevices or holes. We wore no gloves at all and had no problems
