XS Scuba quick attach single weight pock

Pocket has rigid backing and only allows minimal velcro to secure pocket to 2" webbing. I bought it to use on tank cam bands or shoulder harness webbing but found it to be too rigid, bulky and have insufficient velcro overlap to make me feel it was secure. Took up too much space to use on cam band. Ended up using the XS scuba weight pockets that slip over 2" webbing as they were smaller, more compact and worked better on my cam bands.

Check you bcd tank strap before you buy it

By

from Playa Blanca, Cocle, PA

Easy to install on scubapro tank strap, if you own cressi bcd wont work, make sure of tank strap before you buy. Must have space for velcro to close on pouch. Also make sure is aligned well otherwise will feel a tuck to left or right while diving.

Solid Product

Works very well for what it is intended to do. Makes changing out weights, onto and off webbing easy and quick. If you do not need to make regular changes to the amount of weight you mount to webbing, than I would go with a standard pocket over these.

great way to mount trim weights

real simple way to put weight on your tank strap. Very secure and quick to use, makes it easy to return rented weights without taking apart your rig

Great for trim or students

By

I use a plate when traveling and this is a great system to use for trim. Also when instructing, it makes it easy to carry and transfer extra weight when working with DSD's or new students.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JENNIFER M  To use with my Hollis travel BCD
EDWARD M  Bought to hold weights on a BC tank strap.
Michele H  Great option for adjusting weights.
Jan N  Works great on top of my rebreather to balance it by adding a 5 lbs lead weight.
BILLY N  I dive as trim as possible for less drag/air consumption. Went to the Galapagos where the water temps varied greatlt from site to site. Change of suit requiring more weight I just added a pocket with what was needed to compensate for the extra neoprene.
L W  How wide are the quick attach velcro strap? I got like a million D or rectangle rings, some smaller than others, on my BC all over the place and I want to attach these to the area that I need trim weight.
MATT M  The bands on mine are the almost the same width as the pocket is. They would probably not work for what you are thinking of. I would recommend getting some solid clip weights for that use. Hope this helps.
DAVID C  Not going to work as the Velcro is as wide as the pocket.
RICHARD M  They work best as tank strap weight pockets. You can trim yourself with one third of your weight on your backside
L W  Yeah..that is only if no other way works. I use to put weights onto tank straps, they make the straps heavy and makes it that much harder to loop the strap over the tanks.
RICHARD M  shop around you can find clip on
NATHAN P  They are designed like a belt loop. I put mine on my tank straps. The velcro is the lid that holds the weight in place
LEE B  The pockets arer designed to be attached the 2" webbing. They could be attched to a tank band also. They would not attach to a D ring.
Shopper  Does this product get in the way of velcro tank straps?
JEFF T  It hasn't for me
MAREK K  Well, the pockets go ON the tank straps. Our son uses two -- one on each side -- as trim, so some of his weight is farther toward his head than the releasable and BC trim weights. With careful placement, these weight pockets fit fine, one on either side of the tank.
JOEL S  I haven't experienced any problems from the product.
GERALD W  Pocket can interfere if the velcro strap goes right to the BCD when closed. I slide the pocket as close to the BCD as possible, and adjust the buckle location so that the velcro still closes, but not to the end of the strap with 80 cf tanks. I prefer the similar non quick attach pockets as they can't slip off the strap.
MARK G  We did not use them that way but based on the size of the pockets I think they might get in the way of the velcro tank straps.
