Cute little pocket to carry either a single weight or photo-sub macro lenses
Great tank trim pockets
By
Glenn A.
I purchased a Scubapro Go travel BC and needed trim pockets. I ordered two of these quick attach pockets. They worked perfectly on the top tank band. I like the way the velcro attaches from the bottom of the pouch so the weight holds it on the strap.
Do you teach diving, do you find the need for additional weight on certain dives, and is your trim in the water not exactly as you want it? All these needs can be met with XS Scuba's Quick-Attach Single Weight Pocket. Pocket is great when teaching when you need to quickly add additional weight to a new student. When you change exposure suits or add layers of neoprene for warmth, or you keep leaning in one-direction or the other when fining and want to correct you're trim.
Pocket allows quick-addition of up to 5 lbs. (2.27 kg) of block or soft lead in each pocket without slide over the end of a webbing belt. Weight is secured from slippage or loss with quick attachment with double hook and loop closure at bottom of pocket. Pockets are also an easy addition to XS Scuba's weight belts or harness systems. Weight pocket is black in color.

I am trying to attach it to the Halcyon tank adapter. Is it a width that can be attached?

Hello Sunyoung, the time weight pocket will fit on any 2 inch webbing.

Does anyone have the exact size of this weight pocket? Length, width etc?
I'm trying to find an alternative to the Hydros Pro pockets until I can get my hands on a BPW, since the originals are extremely heavy and quite oversized for my weight needs :).

Will these work on a standard weight belt to quickly change weights?
JOE C
yes will quickly attach / detach from standard weight belt or any narrower strap. could use instead of, or in addition to, threaded on weights. Velcro is strong and secure with over flap like on a farmer john shoulder. Also get some weight keepers to thread on because there is nothing (except weights already threaded on) to keep them from sliding all over. also good as an extra pocket.
KARL W
Yes, this is what they are designed to do, and what I use them for.

How wide are the quick attach velcro strap? I got like a million D or rectangle rings, some smaller than others, on my BC all over the place and I want to attach these to the area that I need trim weight.
MATT M
The bands on mine are the almost the same width as the pocket is. They would probably not work for what you are thinking of. I would recommend getting some solid clip weights for that use. Hope this helps.
DAVID C
Not going to work as the Velcro is as wide as the pocket.
RICHARD M
They work best as tank strap weight pockets. You can trim yourself with one third of your weight on your backside
LING W
Yeah..that is only if no other way works. I use to put weights onto tank straps, they make the straps heavy and makes it that much harder to loop the strap over the tanks.
RICHARD M
shop around you can find clip on

They are designed like a belt loop. I put mine on my tank straps. The velcro is the lid that holds the weight in place
LEE B
The pockets arer designed to be attached the 2" webbing. They could be attched to a tank band also. They would not attach to a D ring.

Does this product get in the way of velcro tank straps?
JEFF T
It hasn't for me
MAREK K
Well, the pockets go ON the tank straps.
Our son uses two -- one on each side -- as trim, so some of his weight is farther toward his head than the releasable and BC trim weights. With careful placement, these weight pockets fit fine, one on either side of the tank.

I haven't experienced any problems from the product.

Pocket can interfere if the velcro strap goes right to the BCD when closed. I slide the pocket as close to the BCD as possible, and adjust the buckle location so that the velcro still closes, but not to the end of the strap with 80 cf tanks.
I prefer the similar non quick attach pockets as they can't slip off the strap.
MARK G
We did not use them that way but based on the size of the pockets I think they might get in the way of the velcro tank straps.
