Comments about XS Scuba Dry Five Pyrostretch 5 mm Gloves:

I love these gloves. They are a bit tricky to get on and off in a hurry, but take your time and you will be rewarded with warm, toasty hands. My first dive with these gloves was in 44F water for 45 mins. My hands were not in the least bit cold. the "standard" for diving in this region is 7mm wetsuit gloves. With these being only 5mm they offer more dexterity but the dry/semi-dry feature kept my hands warmer than with 7mm wet gloves.

Comments about XS Scuba Dry Five Pyrostretch 5 mm Gloves:

I used them for one dive in 56 degree water and was pleased. There is very little water infiltration and my hands remained warm for an hour long dive. The only real negative is having to struggle to get them on. They are SO tight that putting them on, or removing them at the end of a dive, is exhausting. I was tempted to buy one size larger and give it another go, but I'm not sure.

The bottom line is--they do work, but I'm just not willing to deglove my hands trying to put them on. I'm still giving them 5 stars because they work as advertised. Just be prepared to spend so time donning and doffing.

Comments about XS Scuba Dry Five Pyrostretch 5 mm Gloves:

I was going to rate these a 4 because they were difficult to put on, but if you roll the outer cuff up before you put them on, it was pretty simple. Taking them off was a different story, difficult, but not impossible. Because they transfered very little water they kept my hands warm and made my dive experience significantly better. I got XL and was slightly nervouse because the fingers felt a little too short at home, but in the water this was no factor.

Comments about XS Scuba Dry Five Pyrostretch 5 mm Gloves:

initially, i was not happy with performance: i dive dry with neoprene wrist seals, and set up gloves with the suit seal flat and in between the glove's two seal layers. my hands stayed dry,but developed a "squeeze" as the depth compressed the air inside the gloves. the neoprene also compressed, reducing thermal protection. combined, the circulation was squeezed from my hands, and my hands froze. I also had major leaking into my suit via wrists.
SECOND TRY WAS MUCH BETTER, I wore my suit seals as I Normally would, and simply pulled the glove's seals up over top of my suit seals. I also flooded the gloves prior to diving, which prevented suit squeeze.
In the end, I used these gloves as SEMI DRY gloves, over 5 dives during a weekend dive charter in 8 celcius water, and was very happy. my hands were wet, but they were at least as warm as they would be in my 7mm Mitts. and i had full dexterity to use my camera and other dive gear.
STORAGE TIP: dry them inside out or they will never dry. flip the hand through the wrist, and BLOW. the entire glove will turn itself inside out.

4/5 because the product "dry" name did not work out as hoped.

Joshua S  On the suggested size chart from leisure pro, I am a medium. I ordered a medium glove and they seem to be a little small in the arches of my fingers...especially between my thumb and index finger. The glove around my palm fits perfectly. Not sure if I should go with a large glove or keep these. I don't want the seems to break and Im afraid with a large size glove it won't fit around my palm. Any suggestions?
BRIAN D  I had a similar situation. I am about to order the XL, and maybe pass my L on to my dive buddy - in fact, they are already in his dive bag. I haven't ordered them yet, so it's probably not much help, other than to say most people will have to order one size larger than the size chart indicates
