This is an amazing little first stage. I use it on a 13cf pony. The size is smaller than you think but the ports are spaced appropriately. The workmanship is spot on with no complaints. Now for the important part breathability.. it flows very well I have paired with a quick disconnect and have used with both an older decor and a new cressi both worked well and also tried with my ocean reef ffm.. no complaints in any way breathability is good. Quality far exceeded expectations.

Is this a sealed regulator and can it be used in cold water 35 - 50 degrees?
MICHAEL A
I too use it only for my ponys. Nice and small, and I run my ponys unside down strpped to my main tank in back so the reg is at the bottom. Doesn't hit anything. Its not touted as a cold water fist stage and I wouldn't use it exclusively as such. As a pony baling out of a situation from cold depth to a warmer thermocline is the only way I consider it ok for cold work.
MICHAEL G
This is not a sealed regarding. It is a flow by piston reg, and water enters the chamber to compensate for pressure change with a change in depth.

It works great on my pony tank that is attached to my main in 59° fresh ( the coldest I've used it ) to 87° salt.
But as an ice diver I don't think I would use it in anything around 50°. I personally would ONLY use higher end equipment. Hope this helps

It's not sealed. I wouldn't recommend as a main first stage. It doesn't have enough LP ports for a standard set up. It works great for a Pony since it's t small and streamlined.
