About Watershed Animas Dry Bag Backpack

Take your gear on a solo jaunt worry-free. The Animas Backpack not only stores gear, it protects your stuff from rain, spray, and the unintentional swim. Keep your gear dry even when submerged! Easy-to-use zip dry seal presses shut like a freezer bag. It locks shut, keeping out moisture with an airtight, waterproof seal, even when submerged and under pressure. The zip dry seal is depth rated to 300' (90 meters).

The Animas Backpack is made from durable 840-denier nylon fabric with a heavy matte polyurethane (PU) finish for abrasion resistance and overall strength. Clear version of the backpack is made from abrasion resistant 20-ml polyurethane. All seams are radio frequency (RF) welded and guaranteed to be free of leaks. Backpack has padded, adjustable and removable shoulder straps that are strategically placed to prevent slippage, adjustable sternum strap, adjustable waist strap and a top grab handle. Waist straps help distribute your load for a more comfortable ride.

Love this dry bag!

I use this bag for multi day canoe trips. I've used Watershed bags for 20 years. Can't beat them. If you don't want to worry about your stuff getting wet, dirty or nasty, get these bags!

Fantastic dry bag!

This is a fantastic dry bag. Absolutely water tight (unlike some other so called dry bags). Good tough bag. Just got back from a week long canoe trip and was never concerned about my gear getting wet.

Questions about this item:

Jerry F  What do the manufacturers recommend for cleaning and conditioning my watershed backpack?
Frank L  You could contact them and see what they say: http://drybags.com/contact.php.
kasey h  Is this backpack depth rated to 300 feet like the other bags made by this manufacturer?
Frank L  Yes, it is.
SCOTT G  I don't know the answer to that question.. I never took mine underwater.. I'm not sure how you would get all the air out in order to take it underwater???
Michelle C  I want a waterproof bag but not something huge - does this bag feel particularly huge to you? I'll be traveling in SE Asia during monsoon season and just want to keep my stuff dry, but i don't want to schlep around something enormous. Is it much larger than a normal backpack?
TERRY J  The Animas is a very big bag much larger than than a day bag. Look at the Big Creek it is a day bag for your personel items. I love mine just the right size. Really there need to be a bag size between the two above. Good luck in your choice.
COLLIN G  It is about the same size as a hiking backing pack that I use strictly for hiking. I purchased this bag for a trip I took to the boundary waters and wanted something that was completely water proof. I also purchased one of their duffel bags. I had to carry the bag on a couple of times across portages we had to take, so I can't speak to hiking with the bag. But I can address the quality and water proof aspects as I have used both bags numerous times since purchasing them. In fact I just came off a week long river trip on the Buffalo in NW Arkansas. These bags are completely water proof. They are built very well. I am very tough on my gear and I expect it to perform, and these bags have not disappointed me. In fact several of my adventure buddies have purchased other Watershed products since seeing mine and are equally impressed. Be advised that they are air and water tight and therefore condensation will build up inside. Purchase some desiccant to absorb the moisture. Good Luck on your trip
