Great mitts

These mitts work great for what they are designed for - keeping the hands warm. I use them for diving in 38 to 52 F water in Alaska.

These are the best gloves for cold water

By

These are the only gloves that I have used that have been able to keep my hands warm in 35 degree water. I read that they run small/tight, so I bought XLs and I'm glad I did.

Print off the sizing chart from the web site. It's spot on. I normally where a large or x large. I ordered a XX Large. Fits great. I was wearing 5 finger 5mm gloves. I dive mostly Lake Michigan. Temps been around 45F. Fingers used to be unbearably cold. Now bottom time at 80 feet has been around 20 mins without misery. Thumb gets slightly chilly with the new gloves but not bad. I highly recommed these gloves. Only complaint is they can be difficult to put on. I recommend rolling wet suit arms up and putting all your gear on, BC buckles ect. The second glove you still may need help with. A hassle but worth it. Very good purchase.

Great glove

So I got the gloves in large based on the sizing chart, and as everyone else said, they run small. I returned them for extra large the fit just right. The wrist is a little tight but, I am sure they will loose up with use. Leisurpro did a great gob with replacing them for the right size. These gloves are made very well and just feel great. Have not gon on a dive yet so I can't say much more yet.

Great Glove

This is a follow up review. Previously gave the product a great review. Now a follow up on customer service at LeisurePro and Waterproof. After about a year, the internal lining of one glove started to "peel" a little. So I finished the season with it and then contacted Waterproof. Advised needed to go through LeisurePro regarding a warranty issue. Contacted LeisurePro, very easy process. Sent gloves back to LeisurePro who then forwards them to Waterproof. (kinda round about process, but it is what it is). Waterproof replaced the gloves with brand new ones. The whole process took 4-6 weeks, which is what I was told prior to sending them back. So LeisurePro and Waterproof came through and the process involved minimal pain. Would have been better if it would have been a shorter turn around time, but was able to time it such that it caused no inconvenience.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
FORNEY I  They are good gloves - cold river mining in Alaska - Keep your hands warm in the late fall and early spring
THOMAS H  they are sealed and 7mm, for cold water ..
Shopper  are they good for 20 degree water? how warm are they
ROGER A  Yes. I also put hot water in them and get 10 to 15 minutes of warmth during our ice dives.
Norman B  I've used these gloves in down to temperatures down to 37 degrees and they were very comfortable.
DENNIS C  The coldest I've dove with these was 47°F and I was comfortable as long as I didn't open and close my hands too much, pumping cold water in. I hope you mean 20°C. I can't imagine diving in water 20°F.
HV T  I've had them in 33° water and they kept my hands warm. They are really hard to get on but I think I got a size a bit small.
JOHN B  I have never worn mine.
JOHN T  20º celsius is 68º fahrenheit. These mittens are more than warm for those temperatures. However, 20º fahrenheit is below freezing. I haven't used these mittens in water below 35º fahrenheit.
kevin h  Well I'd be interested to know where in the world you can find 20 degree water. I've ice dived that is 31 degree lake superior is 30 degree but I love them' & as long as they are not tight on you I would try it.
MICHAEL B  Were you referring to 20 Celsius or 20 Fahrenheit? If 20 C then it is bit warm for it. This glove worked nicely when I was in a 40 F water in a quarry.
LANCE R  I use these gloves for cold water diving in Canada. I use NRS kayak glove liners inside them. I dive in 50F water that goes down to 39F at depth. I can do 3 dives a day with a dry pair of NRS glove liners each time and log 2.5 hours of bottom time. My hands will be warm for the 1st 30 minutes of the dive and cold by the end of a 55 minute dive. My buddies all have dry gloves for their drysuits and have cold hands at the end of 55 minutes as well. I buy NRS glove liners online. I hope this helps.
CALABASAS V  I don't think so. They are nice gloves for 60 degrees where I dive.
FICKAU S  Several people in our club use these gloves for ice diving. They do keep your hands very comfortable. A couple of the divers fill them with warm water before putting them on and claim that makes them even warmer. The down side is they are a little difficult to put on by yourself because of the liner. The sizes also run small. I do like them and am on my second set.
ROBERT M  Yes they are warmer than regular gloves. They share body heat with the other fingers. They are a little harder to get use to,you have a little less dexterity. But everyone has a different tolerance to cold and heat, for me they are fine.
Shopper  What's the difference between this glove and the 7mm Dry Gloves?
joseph p  These are not dry. Your hands will be wet
David R  one is semi-dry and the other is all dry
