About Waterproof G1 3 Finger 5mm Semi Dry Gloves

The body reacts to cold by adjusting the blood flow to the extremities, like hands, fingers and feet. White Fingers is a common condition in extreme cold or a result from prolonged exposure and decreased blood flow, if you add restriction and squeeze into the equation these conditions can worsen. Waterproof's G1 Glove series is constructed with all this in mind. Better fit and flexibility, enhanced warmth, less restriction and squeeze. Waterproof's pressure tested 7mm Semi- Dry Glove was polar evaluated and features a 3mm internal seal to keep your hands extra warm and dry.

The G1, 3-Finger 5mm Dry Gloves have an ergonomically designed 3-D shape with pre-bent fingers for a more natural fit. The glide-skin seal, extra-long, durable and quality YKK zipper with pull tab mean easy donning and doffing. Built to last the gloves seams are glued and sewn with bonded high-quality nylon thread and the I-Span super-stretch nylon will give you many seasons of warm hand diving. The G1, 3-Finger 5mm Dry Gloves have palms with polyurethane embossing that provides a non-slip grip and abrasion protection., Reflective logo and an ID-plate so you know these gloves are yours. Gloves are available in multiple sizes and are black in color.

Hands stay toasty warm

from tacoma, WA, US

These gloves are great in cold water. My hands stayed warm in 46 degree saltwater for multiple dives. The zipper helps with donning and doffing. Much better than the 5 fonger gloves I used to wear.

Good fit, Not very warm

I bought these gloves because the 7mm were out of stock. I have never used this brand but had heard good things from my friends. Unfortunately, they are not quit warm enough for diving in late winter/spring Alaska. The current water temperature is about 38F, so, cold. The fit was great. Easy to get on, flexible, and comfortable. I would recommend them for warmer water.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  I have Raynoids, and hands very sensitive to pressure and cold. Will this work for me outside in the 20 below or colder, or is it just a diving glove?? Bill
LANCE R  Well Bill, I have worn them outside at -20F and they won't work for you. The neoprene causes sweating of the hands and then they get cold. Initially they were toasty but as my hands starting sweating they cooled quickly. No good as a winter glove.
YOUNG KYUN W  hi Bill! Here is Korea. I didn't feel the cold from 14 degree Celsius.
YOUNG KYUN W  Here is Korea. I didn't feel the cold from 14 degree Celsius.
STEPHEN C  Not sure that my answer will be of much help since I bought this glove for for diving in California, (Monterey Bay), where water temps are usually in the low 50s. They have kept my hands and fingers very warm while diving. I have not used them other than diving which is what they are designed for.
LANCE R  Hey Bill, It is zero degrees here today where I live, I will get them out and wear them today and tomorrow and get back to you.
LANCE R  They are great in cold water so I would think in air they would be awesome. I use kayak liners as well in side. That combination should be your ticket to warmth. If not, they have a 7mm as well.
JOSEPH I  They're probably not what you need. Just a diving glove with water-resisant lining to slow down the water exchange. I have a 3mm pair for kayaking and my fingers still get cold when it's in the 30's. I use the 5mm for diving in 50-degree water and they're good for those kinds of temps.
DAVID K  These are for diving. I wouldn't purchase the to keep my hands warm in air temps of 20 below.
