Had been buying basic boots for years down at the outlets in Florida which seemed to typically last on the order of 3 seasons before something started to peel. Invested in a waterproof suit and went with these boots. They are awesome! Keep you warm, easy to put on, rugged and easy to walk around in with extended walks through the woods to get to a shore dive. Have put a lot of use on these now for 4 seasons and they are going strong, Would definitely buy another pair and will when these ...eventually wear out
Keeping your feet protected from the cold is essential for overall warmth; your mother told you, so didn't she? Keep mom and your feet happy by wearing these Tough 6.5mm nylon-2 neoprene boots by Waterproof. Boots are a semi-dry design with extra-long YKK-Vislon zipper for easy donning and doffing. The heel and toe of the boot are strengthened with textured rubber which is abrasion resistant.
Boots have an angled foot bed design for less stress while finning. This 3-D shaped boot also comes equipped with a rubber heel ridge that keeps your fin strap in place even with wetsuit boot compression experienced at depth. The strong and durable boot design features glued and sewn with bonded high-quality nylon thread seams, glide-skin seals for added warmth, Hex-Tex inner lining and zipper gusset that is waterproofed.
The boot is also equipped with boot grip tab and zipper pull tab to aid in donning, ID-plate for easy identification of your boots and is available in multiple sizes. Boot is black in color.
This product can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

Hello jake, yes these would float if dropped in the water.

I normally wear a size 9-9.5 shoe.
Are these sized larger than normal?
Would a size Large or Medium be a better fit?
Based on the size chart, I think Large, but if it would fit upto a 10.5 foot I am wondering if I am going to have an extra inch of space to fill with water.
THOMAS C
I wear a 9.5 normally and I purchased the ML (Medium Large) size and it fits tight. Not too tight, but no water spaces. I think the Meduim would be a tad tighter and the large purhaps a little too roomy. Thanks
KENNY S
I think the sizing is a little on large side...probably about a 1/2 size.
As far having too much space filled with water try wearing a par of socks inside the boot. Your feet will be warmer because there won't be as much water transfer. I know this works for me.

I normally wear a 9-9.5 size shoe, in addition I have wide feet so I usually need a triple E as well. I bought the large and they fit perfectly. My recommendation is to go with the Large anything bigger would be to much.

What makes the B1s "semi dry"?
RONALD A
hi justin i have no idea why thay are called semi dry. ican say i like them ,they are warmer. they are also completly wet inside when i take them off. sorry ,ido think i would ask the company who makes them that question. ron a master diver naui.
DAVID R
iT HAS THE GLIDSKIN INNER SEAL SO IF YOU HAVE THE SUIT THAT HAS THAT AT THE END OF IT, IT SORT OF SEALS OUT THE WATER.
DARRELL B
I guess the "semi-dry" label is a marketing tool. The boots are standard wet suit boots. They are of very good quality, probably the best I have ever owned. If matched with their wet suits (that fit very well and let in very little water) they make a good seal and compliment the system. I give them "5" out of 5 for fit, construction, and quality. BTW, I own a Waterproof W2 wet suit, and I also dive a drysuit (with attached boots).

I bought a pair of Henderson Hyperstretch 7mm boots a few years ago. The must be cut smaller than my size 10 shoe size, because now they hurt to walk in them.
I notice the large size of these Waterproof 6.5mm Semi-Drys is 9-10.5. How comfortable are they to walk around in especially when I'm kitted up and walking to the waters edge?
WILLIAM C
There is no Gold Standard between manufactures. I take a men's 9 in Nike's but an 8.5 in Dress Shoes. Best way to measure is to stand on a piece of paper and have someone else make a mark at your heal and toe, then measure in CM. A Centimeter is roughly 1/4" imperial, then check the manufactures website for a size chart. You want your toes to touch the end of the boot dry, because they will expand when the water collects in the boot. If it hurts to walk on the boat or shore, just leave the water in the boots.
Brett H
The waterproof boot has a slightly more flexible sole so unless you are walking on a rocky surface they should be very comfortable to walk in. Sizing is different from Henderson so it's hard to say for sure if you would be the lg or xl size.

Thanks, Brett!
