I read from other sites that the construction and durability of these swim shorts are of poor quality. The buyers mentioned very quickly these shorts started to tear, wear out quickly?

Hi. I own two pairs of these shorts and am very hapy with the quality. i'm an instructor and dive quite often. the south texas weather can be unforgiving and these shorts have seen their share of punishment. they've withstood after about a year and expect to be using them for quite some time. hope this helps.
I purchased two pairs of these shorts in March of 2011, dove 10 days in Cozumel, used them in local lakes and even in the neighborhood pool, they seem to be holding up just fine. My only advise is to order the 'Long Shorts', the basic swim shorts look like 'Daisy-Dukes', not a flattering look on most.
I have worn the Uzzi shorts both swimming in a pool and while diving. I usually dive with these shorts and a dive skin. These shorts have been great! I have no issues with durability at all. The cut at the legs is comfortable for real swimming and the material dries quickly. The short length isn't so bad under a wetsuit, either.
I agree with the experience of others. After only several uses the liner of the shorts has fallen apart.
I have purchased 2 pair of these swim shorts in 2009, and they have serve me well. They are still in very good conditition, and I use them a lot.
Nope, they continue to look new for quite a while. Stand rough treatment too. With so few "short" swimsuits available, there are not many other better options.
I have had no issue with these swim shorts. The quality seems fine.
Yes, I bought 9 swim suits recently, and the lining tore on two--not good material. I do like the swim suit because they dry quickly.
I am a regular swimmer and use Uzzi trunks all the time. They have worn very well for me, and are very comfortable for regular swim exercise. I have not had them tear, but have had the color fade- not surprising from a chlorinated pool.
I have had no issues with durability of these shorts so far. I have mainly worn them in Fresh water so I haven't fully tested them. I just wore them this past weekend on a 3 day trek. I snorkeled, spear-fished & swam with them on for most of the time. No durability issues noticed. Good Luck!
I bought a pair of these and they are very light weight. My problem with them this that they run very small and I do not like the way they fit. I do not know how they would hold up because I won't wear them.
