Comments about Uwatec Datatrak PC Interface with Memo Mouse:

A clunky interface, but effective. Although it uses a serial connection, it will connect through a USB adaptor. A must have if you use UWATEC's Air Z O2 or similar computers since the computer itself only stores profile data for two dives.

Comments about Uwatec Datatrak PC Interface with Memo Mouse:

It's so cool to be able to analyse dives in such detail and really helpful, my log book went missing yet I had my last 20 dives logged on my computer! Pretty handy! Also, although it only comes with serial cables, it's easy and cheap to get a serial to USB converter so it can be used with newer machines.

Comments about Uwatec Datatrak PC Interface with Memo Mouse:

This product comes with a serial cable to connect to your PC. Newer notebook computers may not have a serial port. If you are expecting a USB connecting cable, this is not the product for you.

Comments about Uwatec Datatrak PC Interface with Memo Mouse:

As with the UATEC computer that I use, the instruction guides are poorly written.
I called the UATEC support people several times.
They were very patient and helpful.
Now that I have added my own notes, the DataTrac is very useful.

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
DEAN R  For use with my UATEC dive computer. It works but is cumbersome to use.
Shopper  Does she also go Aladin sport?
GREGORY J K  I can not answer this with certainty. Aladin seems to have reused model names. It will not work with the first generation Aladins (Sport or Pro) , which are usually labeled Beuchat. These computers did not have a download feature. Uwatec seems to have used both names on the second generation of Aladins, which are compatible with this unit. I think this unit is also compatible with some later Aladins, such as the Air-X. I do not think this unit is useful with the current computers being sold by Scubspro. All this being said, if you have a specific need for this interface, such as needing it for second generation Aladins (I have 3 myself), buy it. However please note that this is an obsolete item and may have set on a shelf for a long time. You'll also need an older PC with a serial port or a serial to USB adaptor cable. Operating with an adaptor connected to a PC running Windows XP has beem problematic. Several attempts to download a dive are sometimes required, especially if the PC is running another program at the same time. This same condition was also present when using the first generation Uwatec interface cable, which operated on DOS only. So I can't say if such difficulties are caused by the unit you are considering or just the nature of the beast for the older Aladins and thier download units and/or software.
Shopper  Does this include the software?
LeisurePro S  Yes, this includes the DataTrak software.
