Hi! I'm curious why it is not for Scuba diving
Is all other mirror not for Scuba diving too?
Honestly I didn't know there was a difference. I have never used mine as it stays in the pocket of my BC "just in case." I take it out every time I wash my gear, (which is to say every time I dive), and I have never noticed any problems with it from being submerged or taken to depth. Maybe I should look a little closer before relying on it my next dive. It looks like XS Scuba sells one for around $10. I would hope that a scuba supplier would sell scuba rated equipment. I hope this helps. Good luck and safe diving.
I bought this for survival use on the water as a visible device that I include in a pocket on my leg. I connect it to the pocket with #24 line and a bolt snap. My only concern was that other gear might scratch the reflective surface. What I did was to put it in a clear sandwich bag to protect the mirror. I've carried it many times on ocean dives - and down to over 100 ft - and have yet to see a single scratch. Bottom line is it works fine for diving as long as you attach it to something.
I bought and use mine for scuba diving. Keep it in my BC pocket!
Not sure why you say "... not for scuba diving". Does the box say "NOT FOR SCUBA DIVING"? All you need is a flat mirror to bounce the sunrays to a boat or passing airplane. The hole in the center allows you to aim at the rescuers. Buy one made for diving if you have doubts about this one.
I hope this helps.Regards, KLD
