About Ultimate Survival Star-Flash Signaling Mirror 2" X 3"

Survival experts worldwide agree that no person should ever venture into the woods, travel off-road, get on board their boat or plane, or engage in any other outdoor activity without a signal mirror and a whistle. The Star-Flash Signal Mirror has made that easier to do. The Star-Flash Signal mirror is an essential component to any survival pack. It is unbreakable and scratch resistant. The advanced Star-Flash System allows you to aim the signal flash with pinpoint accuracy. The Star-Flash Signal Mirror can help you be found, and can save your life. Basic and simple, but a must

It is such a basic item most people thinks they might not need it, but in case you are drifting in the middle of the ocean it can save your life, I always carry one anytime I am on a boat.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JAMES H  Compact and small enough to leave in my BCD permanently for emergency signaling. This give me piece of mind knowing it will always be handy when/if I need it.
Yulin C  Hi! I'm curious why it is not for Scuba diving Is all other mirror not for Scuba diving too?
John B  Honestly I didn't know there was a difference. I have never used mine as it stays in the pocket of my BC "just in case." I take it out every time I wash my gear, (which is to say every time I dive), and I have never noticed any problems with it from being submerged or taken to depth. Maybe I should look a little closer before relying on it my next dive. It looks like XS Scuba sells one for around $10. I would hope that a scuba supplier would sell scuba rated equipment. I hope this helps. Good luck and safe diving.
FRANK S  I bought this for survival use on the water as a visible device that I include in a pocket on my leg. I connect it to the pocket with #24 line and a bolt snap. My only concern was that other gear might scratch the reflective surface. What I did was to put it in a clear sandwich bag to protect the mirror. I've carried it many times on ocean dives - and down to over 100 ft - and have yet to see a single scratch. Bottom line is it works fine for diving as long as you attach it to something.
ANGELA S  I bought and use mine for scuba diving. Keep it in my BC pocket!
CARLOS A  Not sure why you say "... not for scuba diving". Does the box say "NOT FOR SCUBA DIVING"? All you need is a flat mirror to bounce the sunrays to a boat or passing airplane. The hole in the center allows you to aim at the rescuers. Buy one made for diving if you have doubts about this one. I hope this helps.Regards, KLD
