Bright and compact

By Pedro

Even if it took some time to clear the order desk, delivery was incredibly fast, got it in Montreal in no time.

Bright, compact, reliable

Perfect for slipping in the BC pocket for daytime dives where a light might allow a look into a deep recess. I use this for both primary and backup lights at night, since the bright beam really improves focusing attention on what is hiding on and under the coral or in the wreck.

The SL4 has to be the smallest and brightest 4 "C" cell dive light ever made! It emits a narrow and penetrating beam, which allows you to seek out unique marine life found under ledges. It also works well when attached to protective head gear in technical diving applications. The SL4 is great as a photo spotting light or to illuminate gauges and dive tables. Light fits neatly in a BCD pocket so it's always ready for use with its 5.5 watt high pressure xenon filled lamp. Tough, non-conductive ABS and polycarbonate plastic construction will not corrode, dent or freeze to skin in cold weather, and it comes with an adjustable rubber sleeved lanyard.

The SL4's Xenon lamp produces 113 lumens of brightness with a precision machined aluminum reflector that gives a tight 8° degree beam angle. The light has an 804' (425 meter) beam distance on land. To reduce glare and protect the light, the SL4 comes with a molded rubber bezel cover. The rotary switch is easily activated with the thumb and index finger for single hand operation. The Light is powered by 4 x C"-cell alkaline batteries (included) with a burn time of 4 to 5 hours. The light measures 6.3" x 1.8" x 2.5" (16 x 4.57 x 6.35 cm), weighs 15 oz (425.24 g) and is depth rated to 500' (152.4 meters). The SL4 is available in multiple colors, includes an owner's manual, is proudly made in the USA and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Questions about this item:

THOMAS S  can i get a new light bulb for my sl4 flashlight ?
JOHN W  Yes you can buy one at most dive shops?
WAYNE K  Yes, I replaced mine a couple of dive seasons back.
Shrew J  Is this LED or Xenon lights?
Steve S  This is a 5.5 Watt Xenon bulb.
DELBERT M  The SL4 is a xenon bulb. The good one is the SL4eLed or something like that--at about $75-90.
WAYNE K  Probably xenon. It is not LED for sure. It is bright and works well. Carry it in a BC pocket as a general purpose/backup light.
DIMITRIOS M  It's Xenon. Look for SL4 eLED L1 for the LED. I recommend the LEDs if you can afford it, batteries last forever.
Shopper  What is the light range on it?
ENRIQUE Z  I could not say for sure the light range ... but I can say that this is one of the best back up lights you could ever carry ,,, and you can use it for a primary as well ... it is so much better than the 79 dollar princeton lights it is not even funny ... this is one of the best underwater lights available for the price ... I have three ...
KRISTINA J  Very powerful for a small light, just guessing.... approximately 50'. Although, this is in a cavern. Have not used it on a night dive.
FAREED H  Dont remember the details but should be 8-10 ft easily
BARTON Z  Shopper The light does very well as a spot light. It has a rather narrow beam and suits my purposes well. How ever ,the clearity of the water plays a large part in the depth of penetration of the beam. It does very well for me.
CHRISTOPHER F  Not great, if you can afford an LED, it is worth the extra money.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Blaine P  Use this light as primary and backup, ordered another for a friend.
BILL H B  Heard it was a good light
ENRIQUE Z  Best small light on the market ...
TERRY H  This is the brightest small light I have used. It fits easily into my vest pocket but provides an excellent strong beam of light for looking in crevices and holes. Good night dive back-up light.
HARRY C  good price/quality
CHARLES H  Small, good enoght light for looking in holes and small overheads. I use if for spearfishing.
FAREED H  Cost. Needed a backup light.
ALLEN S  This is an awful lot of illumination in a small package. It fits nicely into a pouch on the waist belt or a thigh pocket.
WILLIAM S  Use it regularly. Dependable and not too bulky.
DAMON H  This was a good price for a back-up light.
JENNIFER S  Best long lastingback-up flashlight. I had/used my old one for about 20 years
