Perfect match for the original

By Phillip B.

 -  Loveland, CO, US

This is a perfect match to the original Mini Q 40 Xenon light. Do not confuse with the newer LED model, they are not interchangeable.

Exactly what I was looking for!

By Steve

Since my original bulb quite functioning I need this as a replacement It worked fine and is functioning properly.

You just got suited up for your first dive of your vacation in St. Somewhere. You test your camera system andUK Mini Q40 Light (see SKU's: UKTMQ4) and you find that your light lamp is dead. Worst thing that can happen on a tropical vacation no spotter or secondary dive light due to a bad lamp! Never leave on vacation without spare light bulbs. The xenon lamp module is an integrated unit. There are no replacement parts. The xenon filled lamp is located and sealed at the prime focal point of the reflector for maximum beam intensity. This lamp/reflector assembly lets you focus light exactly where you need it. It is perfect when the lamp of your Mini Q40 Xenon light brakes down.

To install, simply remove the bezel and switch the worn out lamp/reflector with this convenient replacement. Lamp is a 2.1 watt high brightness xenon filled bulb that provides 28 lumens of brightness and has a beam distance on land of 311' (94.79 meters. Spare lamp makes a great save-a-dive-kit item. Keep your portable light functioning anytime, anywhere, order the Underwater Kinetics 2.1 Watt Replacement Bulb and Reflector Assembly for Mini Q40 light today!

Questions about this item:

MARGERY M  Just want to be sure.. I have a Q 40 UK mini flashlight. The bulb and reflector self destructed. (I think because someone put the batteries in upside down?) Is the right replacement part? (14801 is stamped on the side of the side of reflector part.) The light doesn't say "xenon" on it anywhere, though.
HAL S  I have the non eLED Light and this part fit
MARGERY M  Thank you to all for your answers. I did go ahead and ordered the part. It came yesterday and it seems to be working fine. I will keep you posted if it doesn't continue to do so. Margie
JOSE I  HI Margery, Yes, this is the right replacement and it works great. The intensity of the bulb is the same or better than the original bulb that came with the miini q40 from the factory. You can buy it with confidence.
Anne S  I spent $20 on a replacement bulb assembly for a very old version of miniQ, but it didn't work. Not sure if there was something defective in the battery/electric compartment or simply that the parts were no longer compatible. Ended up throwing everything out. :-( Caveat emptor.
NICK T  It should be correct it is NOT xenon however
LYNNE B  I have a UKE 2L flashlight. The 14801 is an exact replacement lamp. Putting batteries in backwards did not cause the problem. Maybe a defective lamp. The problem I have is with the 3V lithium batteries. They fail prematurely or are bad upon purchase. I have set this flashlight aside for now.
MICHAEL Z  Sorry I replaced this man years ago and do not remember
LYNNE B  If the light comes on for only a second and dies..is it the battery or the bulb typically? Lynne
CLAY C  Prob. battery. Try changing batteries to see if the same thing happens. If possible, try the bulb in a different unit. If the same thing happens, you have your answer
ALI B  Battery issue...replaced it and it worked just fine.
JOSE I  First you should check and confirm that the lantern is tightly sealed and there are no issues with the assembly. If it keeps turning off, then consider to replace the batteries and make sure there are no loose connectors. Check that the bulb is fixed to its base. If it keeps turning off, you should consider to replace the bulb and reflector assembly.
ERIK H   My opinion is this is a battery problem. Typically the bulb I'd either good or bad. This sound like very weak batteries.
LYNNE B  Hi Andrew, Than you very much and Happy New Year. Lynne
SU-LEN L  Could be the bulbs, recent experience it has been the led bulbs, if not, make sure using brand new batteries
