About Aqualung Mistral Regulator

If you are a person who carries around a hint of nostalgia for the old days, then the Mistral regulator by US Divers is for you It is a modern version of the two-hose regulator style that was used in the day of Jacques Cousteau The two-hose design moves the exhaust bubbles from in front of your face to behind your head, allowing you to fully enjoy the sea life around you without peering through all of those annoying bubbles Exhaust bubbles are the nemesis of underwater photographers; this two-hose regulator makes bubbles in your pictures a thing of the past

In addition to having a great look and moving the bubbles, the two-hose design offers a great safety feature for cold-water divers Hoses can freeze the moisture in the diver's breath when the surrounding water is cold enough; if you only have one hose and it freezes, you can find yourself in a very dangerous situation If you are using a two-hose regulator in the same situation, you don't have to worry about freezing because your exhaled breath and its moisture do not pass over moving parts

Questions about this item:

Dick G  Tell me the real truth about this regulator. I used one of the original double hose regs and it was very hard breathing and it was body attitude specific.. I am a underwater photographer and this looks kool. I dive at a 100 feet regularly and in a heavy current. I don't need to work harder? What is the real review? Thanks Dick
