About Aqua Lung Look 2 Mask

A user-friendly solution for those who need corrective lenses, the Look 2's unique, patent-pending frame allows divers to quickly change out lenses in a wide range of positive and negative diopters. The rugged, classically styled two-lens frame and skirt are excellent for a wide range of facial types. Patent-pending frame makes it easy to change out corrective lenses available in a wide range of diopters. Twin lens design has a low internal volume that reduces buoyancy in the water and eases clearing. Cardanic Joint Buckles rotate both up-and-down and in-and-out for a customized and pinch-free fit. Counterposed push button activation makes strap adjustments fast and holds the strap securely in place once set. The system is also easy to use when wearing gloves. Wide headpiece on silicone strap conforms to the user's head to ensure a comfortable, secure fit. High-grade silicone material allows the facial skirt to flex and naturally mold around facial contours for a leak-free seal. Shatterproof, tempered glass lenses suitable for diving and snorkeling meet ANSI standards. Color options: Clear Skirt - Black/Blue(New!), Black/Silver, White Arctic Black Skirt - Black/Blue(New!), Black/Silver, Black/Green, Black/Orange

Practically perfect in every way

I bought this mask because I'm slightly near-sighted and I wanted a mask to which I could easily insert corrective lenses if I found that I needed them. A bonus is that it is the most comfortable mask I have ever worn; light weight, low volume, and very pliant silicone skirt. It's very easy to remove the lenses for cleaning if needed, and when the lenses are out the skirt can be removed from the frame as well. The "Cardanic" joint at the strap attachment points allows for the mask to fit flus...

Nice looking mask that doesn't fit

At first look I had high hopes for this mask. Nice construction, good looking masks, but we could not get it to fit properly. In order to get the skirt to fit snugly on our face (two of us tried this). the area below the nose and above the lip produced a gap, in order to close the gap to get it tight to our face, we had to adjust the mask so much that it was so tight and uncomfortable on the fore head. We even brought it to our local dive experts to get some help and they agreed the design...

Great mask but you will need to order the lenses separately

By

I haven't gotten to dive with it yet but first impressions are great! I got the black skirt which feels like a good fit against my face. This mask is very low profile/volume, which I really like for ease of clearing. The reason I got it was for the interchangeable lenses. I guess I didn't read the fine print but silly me, I didn't realize I would need to order the lenses separately from aqualung. I did, it was another $88 dollars, but I suspect it will be money well spent when I'm in Cozumel next November!

The "Cardanic" joint at the strap attachment points allows for the mask to fit flush on my face without uneven pressure top to bottom or left to right, and the seal is virtually water tight. (I haven't tried it in open water yet (I've only had it a few days), but in testing in a pool it was perfect. Any minor leaking should be simple to clear.) The soft silicone should also make pinching my nose for clearing my ears as I descend a simple matter. What more can I say? I'm impressed, and won't hesitate to recommend this mask to others...with the usual caveat that different people have different face shapes, and what fits me might not fit others. Best to try it on at your local dive shop, even if you actually buy online.

great priced mask.

Great mask comes in so many different colors for those looking to match their gear. Used in 4 cold water dives this weekend. Only leaking was when I would squeeze the nose a little hard when I would equalize but cleared with no problems.

Q&A

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ELIZABETH S  This is the second time i buy these mask... i have one yet and i like that, so much
JAMES T  Low volume mask. Easy to purge. Fits me well.
Derek S  what's the difference between the regular and the midi?
MARK E  The midi is a smaller mask. I purchased it for my daughter who has a small face and it fits very well and she is very happy with it.
DEAN W  The midi is just slightly smaller frame. Most people with a long or slender face tend to get a better fit with the midi frames. So if you have a smaller face, or you tend to get a little bit of water leaking on the sides, then the midi might be a good choice. I would go to a dive shop and try a few just to get a feel for it though, before you buy. FIT IS EVERYTHING!! good luck!
WILLIAM N  The midi has a slightly smaller skirt for smaller faces. I bought one of each; the regular for me and the midi for my 12 yr old son....fits him great. Unfortunately, both masks tend to fog up after a short time in the water, despite both being scrubbed with Colgate several times.
JAMES T  Here is your answer: Aqua Lung makes this mask with two different mask skirts: i) The Look 2 regular mask: This skirt has the same shape and dimensions of the actual LOOK mask. ii) The Look 2 Midi - a skirt designed for smaller faces and for free diving, it fits like the Micromask skirt.
Derek S  Thanks man.... exactly what i need to know before ordering!
ALLEN S  I'm not sure the diff between those but I have the look 2 and I love it if fits great , is easy to clear and doesn't fog and has a swivel on strap for a great fit hope this helps Allen
Derek S  thanks Allen ....... i also have a look2 i purchased a while ago ........ just wasn't sure if i had the regular or the midi, and want to make sure i order the right one!
Shopper  Do you have prescription lenses for this mask?
LeisurePro S  Unfortunately, we do not carry RX lenses for this mask. If you give our customer service department a call at 888-805-3600, they will be happy to help you find a similar mask with prescription lenses.
