Great product, I would definitely recommend.

Love these fins

By BARBARA A.

Love these fins! They are lightweight and easy to kick. The spring strap is quite small/tight which can make it difficult to get them on and off in the water but it’s not a huge drawback. I wear a size 8 women’s shoe and wear these with 5mm boots. I got size S/M and they are just right

Part of the Aqualung Women's Collection, the Shot FX Fins have taken technologies proven successful with the SlingShot and Hotshot fins and incorporated them into a women's specific fin. The foot pockets are specifically sized for women and the blade stiffness increases with size. This offers women divers their choosing of blade stiffness, depending on their style of diving. Other innovations, such as the mid-foot pivot to eliminate foot and toe fatigue often experienced by divers and the "Power Transmission Zone" for efficient kicking. Shot FX comes standard with the Aqualung Spring Straps, with a soft TPR heel pad, for easy don and doffing. This fin is the ultimate in hybrid technologies, offering an easy kicking fin for your dives while providing optimal power with each kick.

The Power Zone, located in front of the foot pocket, features integrated "V Boosters", providing optimal power with each kick. The Power Zone provides the diver a mid-foot pivot point on the fin, minimizing fatigue and maximizing energy transfer to the blade. The foot pocket's design, compounds and sizing are dedicated to women's feet resulting in greater comfort. The Shot FX has a dedicated blade that is shorter and softer than traditional fins. This makes them easier to kick. A new spring strap offers a soft heel pad along with Aqualung's own proprietary buckles. The foot pocket is equipped with the "Power Transmission Zone" (PTZ). The PTZ 's anchor the foot preventing unnecessary stretching of the foot pocket on the power stroke resulting in maximum energy transmission. The blade contains a high-performance elastomer resulting in high efficiency. An elastic blade insert creates a "spoon effect" that pushes more water with each down stroke adding to efficiency. A customized inner sole provides a grip effect. This prevents wasting power from the boot moving laterally inside the boot pocket. Fins are available in multiple sizes and colors.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

SANDRA S  I am looking for a fin that will be easy on my joins.  Anyone with knee issues that can speak of this?
ARTHUR C  I've had no issues with this fin. It's smooth and comfortable.
Nat F  Hi there! I dive in an area where we see sharks frequently (bulls, tigers, and lemons). Will the high color contrast of these boots be problematic?
BARBARA A  First, these are just the fins you will have to buy boots separately. Second, I have never had any wildlife approach me but I rarely dive with sharks. I have seen some bull sharks but they usually keep their distance! There is a lot of contrast on the fins, the back side is mostly white with some black accents but no purple.
Nat F  Oops, meant fins! Not boots :) Thanks Barbara
VICTORIA G  Hello! I wear a size 8 in women’s shoes, but i have a rather thick pair of boots to wear. should I spring for the large fins? I currently have a pair of large atomic blade fins that fit very well, and those are also supposed to be for shoe size 11-12 just like these. Does anyone know how these compare in size?
KRISTYN F  I can’t say for sure but the foot pocket on these fins is very narrow at the toes so if your boots are thick at the toe I’d assume you’ll need a large.
Leigh R  Hi, I am a size 7.5 and am wearing booties. The small seems to put the top of my foot asleep. Would the regular give me more space there?
BARBARA A  same, for me it matters most how I get my foot in there. the spring starts off very tight on these fins which is nice but if you stretch it a little more and keep your heel out a bit that helps relieve the tingling
POLINA S  Hello. My foot size is 7.5. I wear Aqua Lung Women's 7mm Ellie Ergo Boots in size 8. I have these fins in size regular and I am happy with the fit.
DOREEN E  I am a size 7 and the small does the same to me. You would have to try a larger size on to make sure it is not too big. If it is, try a shoe stretcher to gain arch height. I find the "sleep" point to co-inside with the end of my dive, so have not been concerned.
Joanne L  I am looking for a womens diving fin that I can use for snorkeling; I wear a womens size 6 shoe and would like to carry this on the plane. Any suggestions?
MARIA S  If it just for snorkeling any fin will do
SUZANNE D  Sorry I didn't proof reead my response. These are lightweight fins that must be worn with wetsuit boots. A small should fit you.
SUZANNE D  These are very weight comfortable find. They must be worn with wetsuit boots. A small should fit.
MYRNA LAURA B  its an OK fin.
DONNA T  Awesome fins. Easy to put on and off. Light weight. I carry on the plane easily. They also have a full foot. You will need booties. That might not work for snorkeling. I scuba
MARSHA B  Bought these a couple years ago. Love them!
CHRISTINE D  The fins come in a bag and I guess you can carry them on the plane. They are not bulky and I have used them for both snorkeling and diving. I am extremely please with them. My advice is to make sure you use a water sock as well
MICHAEL E  My wife both dives and snorkels with this fin and loves it! One of the few fins available designed specifically for a woman. If your traveling I also suggest the Akona snorkeling bag, best and easiest way to keep your snorkel gear organized in a tough durable bag that will stand up to travel.
