This is one of those things you don't really consider, but once you use it you think why didn't I use this sooner? After getting a used regulator I needed to replace the mouth piece and thought I would give this a try, what a huge improvement. I didn't even realize how much I was clenching my teeth until I got this which makes for a more relaxed dive experience. Admittedly not everybody will like this because it does feel a little bit different, but it is way better one you become accustom...ed to it.
Orthodontically designed mouthpiece 'forces' the diver to hold it gently in the mouth, rather than biting down on it, which in turn makes for more relaxed, less tress diving.
A boon for EVERY diver.

Yes-if you look at the parts list in the Conshelf XIV owner manual p16, both the comfo-bite mouthpieces (black and clear) are listed as optional.

All mouth pieces should be universal to replace or swap out. They slide on and a black zip tie should be used to tightly secure. I like this one best because of its low profile which decreases jaw strain and gag reflex

Hi fellow Diver,
I really dont know if it can fit a Conshelf XiV, I look on the web and look for that reg. and a few of the pictures show the Aqualung Comfo-Bite Mouthpiece.
I recently repaired my 1st Reg. Sherwood SR1 and got a pair of this mouthpieces and the lock system. They fit perfect!.
Give it a trie, if it fit you will love the mouthpiece!!

will it fit Cressi Compact Pro MC9 SC Regulator ?
BERNARD D
Not 100% sure, but to my knowledge, all regulators have a standard coupling for mouth pieces. Check with Cressi to make sure. If it will fit, you will love the mouth piece; I only use this one and it is the most comfortable mouth piece I have ever used in 40 years of diving.

Hello, this mouthpiece fits the XTX50 regulator?
COLTON T
Should fit just fine. It is a standard fit and stretches a bit and secures with a zip tie like any other mouthpiece. Fits my Sherwood perfectly.

I wear dentures and am looking for a mouthpiece to take with me to Hawaii. Which would be better for a denture wearer, the Aqualung Comfo-bite or the Seacure Custom Mouthpiece X Model?
TAL S
I ordered both and the Comfo-Bite was an immediate no-go. The Seacure fit great and I'm looking forward to diving with it in Feb.

I have been using this mouth piece for over 4 years and it's everything they say it is and more. All that's needed is a light bit and it stays in place. I do have an advantage because my regulator is on a 90 degree swivel and the air line runs under my armpit and up to my mouth so I can adjust the up and down pull to neutralize the pull on my dentures. I never had a conventional fixed regulator hose, I would think the stiffness of the hose would produce additional force. There are super flex air lines that are designed to reduce jaw fatigue.
It's only $10 you spent more fore less, so buy it.

This is sort of like asking which is better- Fords or Chevys... My wife has dentures and swears by her Seacure mouthpiece, while I have one and don't particularly like it. I dearly love my Comfobite mouthpiece, however, and always try to have a spare or two in my dive kit. However, I am a mouthpiece chewer and tend to slowly destroy them. I usually can make a Comfobite last a couple of years, however. I will admit that the Seacure is much more substantial and probably would be impossible to chew through, and my wife's Seacure looks like new after several years of wear, but I could never get used to the mouthfeel, and always went back to my lovely Comfobite. So there you have it. The Comfobite is certainly much cheaper, and if you don't like it (not likely- I have had people look hungrily at my Comfobite, and even offer to buy my spares) you can easily upgrade to the Seacure. The Seacure does have that putsy fitting process you have to go through with the hot water bath, but that's a one time thing, unless you want to readjust the bite by heating it up again and refitting it to your teeth. (I must have reheated mine 3 times trying to improve the way it felt, but back to the Comfobite I went every time. Anyone wanna buy a slightly used Seacure?) I don't suppose this really helped you much, because this is so darn subjective. By the way, I love the reusable clamps that come with the Comfobites- no zip ties for me!

Will this fit a Cressi Gamma Snorkel?
MICHAEL T
Almost all snorkels and regs share the same standard fitting
MICHAEL C
This mouthpiece is technically made for a regulator, It does not have the longer neck and angle that most snorkel mouthpieces have. I do believe it will fit, but it might not be exactly the same angle as the mouthpiece that came with it.
