Comments about TYR Corrective Optical Swim Goggles:

I'm -9.00 myope both eyes so I got the -8.00D. Just starting swimming as an adult but quite serious about it. Practicing 3x/week. Contact lenses are fine but increase your risk of severe corneal infection so I got these. Optics for land are not as good as my regular glasses (they will never be as good as fitted prescription glasses)but in the water - MAGIC! I see ALL that I need to see clearly (water magnifies so my one diopter short is FINE). I do all that I need to do in the water with these and don't have to worry about corneal infections with contact lenses. Also I used to HATE the spherical aberrations from the side of the lens but these goggles seem to reduce it so my peripheral vision is not as annoying (other brands of optic goggles - I see a big blur from my side vision which is annoying) - Don't know how they do it - but it is wonderful. Goggles NEVER leaked and the anti-fog options is holding up fine (I take care never to touch the inside of the goggle as instructed). Would definitely buy again and for the price - WONDERFUL!!

Comments about TYR Corrective Optical Swim Goggles:

Great fit. I have a small face and a narrow bridge, so goggles often are too big...these are great; very snug and don't leak.
I'm a recreational lap swimmer (with poor vision!) so these are terrific. I've owned them before, and they DO fog up after a few months, but you should get 4 to 6 months of swimming several times per week out of each pair. I think that's as good as any goggles I've ever had.
I definitely recommend the optical lenses for people who have poor vision. (Just ask your optician which he/she would recommend you buy) and you'll be fine -- you're not looking for perfect vision, but you'll be so happy to be able to see the swimmers sharing your lane!
Service and delivery were terrific -- fast, etc.

Comments about TYR Corrective Optical Swim Goggles:

A great pair of corrective lenses. Easily adjustable and pretty comfortable pair of googles for training. Don't think they would be usable for competition as they would fall off upon diving in. But certainly more comfortable than competition corrective lenses like the speedo.

            Questions about this item:

            Cindy P  Its this in a store a in Manhattan? I need a +2.5 or 3.0
Frank L  These are negative diopter lenses, not positive. Check these out that do offer a positive correction: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-viwpcl/view-swim-platina-corrective-lens. We do have these in the store.
Shopper  Left eye -3.5, and right eye -2.5. Are lenses interchangable so that I buy 2 pairs, and swap one lens from each goggle to get two pairs with my prescription? If yes, how do I remove a lens from the goggle?
LYNNE R  I am sorry, but I don't know about switching the lenses. My grandson has a big difference in R and L Rxs and his Rx is greater than the ones available,. I purchased a pair of goggles in the Rx of the weaker eye and he can see much better than with goggles with no correction. However, it isn't as if he was wearing his own glasses. Being able to see with the goggles we did purchase got him over his fear of the water and he is now swimming well. Sorry I couldn't answer your question.
