Have used these lights for several years on video shoots, as deep as 450 ft. Very rugged and easy to use. Too bad they are being discontinued (I bought 6 because of that). I hope Intovatec comes up with an equally rugged replacement.

This is an excellent night. Preferred over the Sea Lifeo Sea Dragon 2500. We recently ordered a second to replace the Sea Life Sea Dragon. Handier to adjust th power under water. A previous customer had ordered six.

So it comes with a rechargeable battery? Or...i have to spend more money for the battery?
David C
It comes with a rechargeable battery. The bulb top screws off and there is a barrel plug underneath that you use to recharge. The unit is 90% rechargeable battery. Everything from the black band back is rechargeable battery.
MARK S
It comes with a single sealed battery unit. Additional battery units can be purchased for $149.
David F
Yes the battery is rechargable
JIM S
The light comes with a battery that is rechargeable; however, there is no spare battery. The light head comes off exposing the charging port. Consequently, you cannot use the light while the battery is being charged.
Benjamin F
The black body is the battery. It may come apart to replace the battery cells, but mine came ready to go. you have to remove the head to plug the charger in to the body to recharge the light. I always just make sure that I take a good look at the two o-rings, remove any funk from them and lube them up with some silicone (which comes with the light) and dive on! decent light especially at the price.

Yes, Tovatec Galaxy 2500 Lumens Video Light comes with a rechargeable battery pack.
Actually, what you see on the picture is the entire system: the front "silver" part with a black ring-switch is a LED block with a driver and the back black part is a battery pack. They are connected via O-ring. They should be disconnected to re-charge a battery. It comes with a charger (and a set of plugs for different countries standards), spare O-ring, and lubricant.
It is ready to dive and work.

KEVIN F
You have to use the battery pack.

what kind of mount is required... can i mount to a gopro stick if i buy a dual mount?
KEVIN F
It is typically called a YS mount. Depends on the Go Pro stick and its options.
MORRIS K
How do you replace the batteries in the galaxy 2500, does the back just screw off?
MARK S
Yes. The back, sealed battery compartment unscrews and you can buy spare battery packs for $149.
KEVIN F
Yes, the back is the battery. You would need to order a separate one to replace it.

What is the DC voltage output of the AC charger?
