The light is not colored. The instructions for changing a bulb lead me to believe I would just have to buy a new light if it ever was an issue.

"Not exactly as advertised!"

The light came with a clear lens, not the greenish blue aqua color in the picture. I would prefer to use a chemical light stick vs. this light even though it is advertised to be a replacement. I haven't used it the water yet so I can't pass final judgment just yet. I know I'm not going to like though. Not sure I will order any further Tektite products as a result.

Long lasting marker light

If you are diving at night and need a tank light this is a good alternative if you don't want to use a glow stick. The battery lasts a while and doesn't contribute to larger amounts of trash and chemicals to like when we throw away glow sticks.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Alice B  It's nice to see your buddy on night dives ...
DEAN R  As an optional personal identifier for night dives.
Steve M  Does this light blink like a strobe? Can it be used to mark an exit rope?
ROGER M  This light does not flash, it is either off or on. I would not use this to mark an exit rope. I would use a more powerful light preferably a strobe.
MARK C  It doesn't blink, I don't see why you couldn't use it as an exit marking since the lens is different colors.
MARY P  No this does not blink. It can be used as an exit light, but we found you need to be a lot closer to it than we expected to be able to see it.
THOMAS L  It doesn't blink. You could probably tie it to a rope It is usually attached to the yoke on a the rank as a locator of a person on a night dive
MANUEL S  sorry there is no strobe function, the light is static on
fatih a  The light is continuous, it does not blink. It's bright enough to mark an exit line or buddy checking underwater.
PETER G  No it does not blink A true strobe will make a better marker
GERARDO A  Doesnt blink as strobe, but is good to mark some exit, we use for our dive masters in night dives. And we use strobes for mark dones exit or some positions.
Steve M  Thanks Gerardo, I found one by same company that has 5 rows of led's and strobes, for $18.95 rated to 300 meters. Thanks for your answer!
Shopper  When I'm selecting color is it the case (bottom) color or the light color?
LeisurePro S  This is come with a clear lens. The color you select is the case color.
