About Tusa Visualator Mask

The M-14 Visualator Mask features an Over-Sized Single Tempered Glass Lens with an Over-Sized Frame offering a Significant Increase in Vision over previous products. Additionally, the distance between the lens and the eyes has been reduced. To increase the Field of Vision in a Mask, the Lens must be brought closer to the Eyes To achieve this, the Visualator's Frame was made as thin as possible, and the fitting line was moved slightly to the outside. By moving the fitting line up to the middle of the forehead, the distance between the lens and the eyes is further reduced and a Wider Field of Vision (both above and below as well as left and right) is achieved.

The Visualator's 5 Angle Strap Adjustor allows for a 5-Position Micro-Adjustment on both the left and right sides of the mask. This enables Vertical (up/down) and Horizontal (left/right) Pressure on the Face to be Delicately Adjusted for the Optimum Fit. This Low Volume Mask has a Double Feathered Edge Silicone Rubber Skirt and an Easy-to-Reach One-Hand Nose Pocket for Ear Equalization which can be utilized even when wearing thick gloves. A Wide Split Mask Strap Design provides even pressure on the Face Seal for a perfect Fit. Mask comes with a Mask Box and you also get a Free Save-A-Dive Kit with your mask. Mask is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.

The Tusa Visualator Mask is commonly used for Open Water Diving, Pool, Recreation, Snorkeling and more. The Tusa Visualator Mask is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Advanced Diver, Beginner, Casual/ Recreational, Divemaster, Recreational Diver among others. The Tusa Visualator Mask is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Tusa Visualator Mask: Does Not Fog, Lens Quality, Range of Vision, Snug Fit.

I purchased & reviewed this mask almost 2 years ago to the date and it's still the best mask I have. I had some fogging issues in the beginning, but they cleared up with use. Back in September 2008, I went diving in Cozumel and I took this mask along as a backup to a 3 window frameless mask I bought. What a life saver! The frameless fogged up like crazy and I was having small leak issues. I ended up doing 6 dives and some snorkelling with the M14 without a single problem. This year for the Bahamas, the M14 is running primary and I'm purchasing another one as backup. Still the best mask I have found since the old Dacor.

Best mask I have ever owned

    Comments about Tusa Visualator Mask:

I have been using this model for a few years now. The size of the glass gives a much wider angle of view. Since it is so large, you dont notice the frame, making things seem clearer and less "tunnel like"

I do a lot of work with disabled children and adults, when in the pool, many times we have mask issues. If we can't solve them easily, I just give them mine. It seems to fit almost anyone.

Just a good all around mask.

      Comments about Tusa Visualator Mask:

This mask is very comfortable and does not leave any ring-around-the-face. I don't consider my face to be overly wide, but I was glad for the adequate nose-pocket. This is a large mask, but this makes for a good range of view. This is my primary mask.

I thought it was a value buy. very good range of vision and fits very well. The lens is very close to the nose so if you have big fingers it will take equalizing some getting use to. overall, im satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it.

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MARC P  The is the best mask I've ever used for visibility. It's probably not a good choice for those with a narrow face.
Shopper  what's the different Tusa visualator(M14) and serene(M16)?
DONALD D  M-14 has a much bigger lens than the M16.
Don C  I had one of these mask and really liked it. I had never used it below 40" though. I did one dive down to 97' and every sense then it hearts my face very bad. Even at 30 and 40' I can no longer wear it. Any ideas? I would like to get another one but I want to figure out what happened to cause the problem with the first one. I have other mask and never experienced this before.
JEFF K  There are several things to consider with a scuba mask. First and foremost is the "fit" of the mask - is this the correct size mask for your face? I selected this particular mask because I have a very WIDE face, and this is one of the widest masks that I've found (plus, it helped that I won the original in a scuba event). Second, do you have the mask strap too tight? Having excess tension on the strap will pull the frame into your face, hitting pressure points, and making you uncomfortable. Third, are you equalizing pressure properly?, meaning putting air pressure into the mask cavity while you're descending. Finally, how old is your current mask, particularly, how pliable is the silicone skirt? If the skirt is old and dried out, you may need more force on the seal against your face, increasing the discomfort. I tend to replace my mask every two to three years - due to the silicone skirt becoming dirty, stiff and starting to leak - and I generally log between forty and eighty dives per year. I am very happy with this mask, and I trust you will find the same. Jeff K.
