Strong knife, does not rust

By

from East Bay, CA, US

I bought this knife because it is the same color blue as the rest of my Tusa gear (mask/fins/snorkel). I have used this knife several times, including on cruise expeditions in which I have thrown the knife in my gear bag after use without rinsing it off. It has never rusted, whereas I have seen other dive knives start to rust only a few hours after use. I coated it with oil after I first got it, but haven’t since, no problems. Also, the sheath is sturdy and secure. I got the blunt tip for popping urchins.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
DAVID B  2nd knife for safety against getting tangled in fishing line as I plan on doing a lot of night time wetsuit surfcasting
Shopper  can this mount other than on the leg strap?
PAULA B  The knife can mount elsewhere. The sheathe has slots in it which the straps go through. You can either use those slots to attach the knife someplace else or you can adjust the leg straps it comes with to make them fit another attachment point. Remember to keep your knife liberally greased with silicon gel or you could has a problem with rust. Best, Paula
Angelo F  It is designed to be worn on the leg... But I have seen divers uses tie wraps to secure it to the BC... Hope this is helpful....
CRAIG S  Yes. There are a couple mounting options other than the leg straps. I actually own two of them because they are fabulous knives. You have the option of wearing it on a belt or I have one of mine plastic "zip-tied" to my BCD chest strap. The other I strap to my lower leg. I am sure that there are other options too, but I mounted mine the best for me. Hope this helps!
