About Tusa Full Foot Split Fins X-Pert Evolution

The TUSA X-Pert Evolution Full Foot Fins combine Propeller-Fin Technology, TUSA's Multi-Flex Blade System and Patented Angled Blade Design. The X-Pert Fin provides more Speed and Power with Less Effort and Fatigue than Traditional Paddle Blade Full-Foot Fins. The X-Pert Fin is a Thin, Lightweight Design Ideal for Snorkeling and Travel, yet it Generates Maximum Performance and Comfort with Minimum Strain on the Leg Muscles when using a Small Bent-Knee Kick with a Light Rhythm.

The TUSA X-Pert Fins Innovative Hydrofoil (Split Blade) and Hybrid Rib Design produce Greater Forward Motion (lift) both on the Surface and Underwater. As the Fin Moves through the Water its Two Wing-Shaped Surfaces Create Lift and Forward Propulsion like a Propeller. Any Water Traveling Over-the-Top of the Blade is Funneled Into-and-Out of the Split between the Blades. Efficiency is Increased while Drag and Effort is Reduced.

A Standard Flat Fin Inhibits Propulsion Solely by Fault of Design. An Angle between the Heel of the Foot and the Calf of the Leg remains when the Leg is Extended-to-Kick. This Angle causes approximately 10% of the Propulsion to be Lost. The 20? Angled Blade Design accommodates for this Anatomical Characteristic and Ensures Maximum Efficiency throughout the Kicking Cycle. The Fin is available in sizes X-Small, Small, Medium, Medium/Large, Large or X-Large, comes in Black or Blue colors and is covered by a 36 month limited warranty.

The Tusa Full Foot Split Fins X-Pert Evolution is commonly used for Recreation, SCUBA, Snorkeling, Travel and more. The Tusa Full Foot Split Fins X-Pert Evolution is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Advanced, Beginner, Casual/ Recreational among others. I have found this to be an excellent fin, but I think that people should understand what they are buying. There is only going to be so much give in the foot pocket (Nor would you want it). I have a Slightly wider than average size 12 foot and the XL(12-13) fits snugly but comfortably with a dive sock. In other words, just about perfect. If your foot is very far off of normal length to width dimensions then you should probably not get a full foot fin by mail order. Next, unless I am mistaken, split fins are designed for an easier kick cycle, not speed. Think about it, you don't see free diving split fins. Recreational diving rarely needs speed, anyhow. Basically, I think it is an excellent fin for what it is Designed to do.

I bought these fins for my son as a present. Straight out of the box there was a small cut (or so I thought) in the top of the foot pocket on both fins. I returned them back to Leisurepro who switched them out form without question. I thought that someone had nicked them with a box cutter and the replacements looked fine. They sat on a shelf for a few months before we went on a warm water live aboard diving trip. First dive they showed the small splits that were in the original ones starting in the top of the foot. Second dive one fins tore all the way to the toe and the other 2/3 of the way down. This was not good as there was a good current and ended in me having to push my son as the fins would just fall off. Fortunately we had a spare pair of fins on the boat. Very strange as two pairs tore in the same place (one unused the second with 1 dive) not on a seam. I own a very similar TUSA split fin that have been used many many times without issue. These seem to me made of a harder plastic type material that obviously has issues. Fins have gone back again under warranty with my request of a different fin to replace them. Beware don't rely on only these fins if you are going on a trip, they may leave you without any fins at all! I cannot give a review of their performance as they have not lasted long enough to do so. It must be noted at Leisurepro have been very helpful in dealing with the problems. Spend the extra few $ and get something else.

I haven't had a chance to use the mask, I bought it for a cruise next month but looking forward to it.original order was too small due to my having a high instep so it was returned and a larger size shipped. They were purchased for a cruise next month and looking forward to trying them out.

Comments about Tusa Full Foot Split Fins X-Pert Evolution:

Bought these fins to replace a similar pair that I had worn out! Always loved Tusa products, but sometimes when ordering on the web you get knock-off products using the Tusa name. It's hard to find split fins anymore at my local dive shop because most people don't want full foot ones, but I have always found them to be comfortable and lightweight. The Tusa brand split fins are exceptionally well made and give you maximum thrust with less fatigue. Leisure Pro had them in stock, they are quality, and shipped them to me fast. Reasonable prices too.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JULIEN L  I've bought 4 pairs of these great fins over 1.5 years - they're relatively lightweight, efficient in the water, don't cause a strain on the legs or lower back, and very affordable. I leave a pair with good friends/family that live in places I'll come back to visit and dive - saves on luggage space and weight. Also, it doesn't become a huge issue if I forget them on a dock somewhere...
kerry p  I am looking to put my fins in my carry on luggage (22") will these fold some to fit?
LINDA S  yes as they flex...they have been in out carry on many times and are headed there again this weekend!
Shopper  What is the length of these fins?
WILLIAM F  24 1/2 inches from tip to back of heel pocket.
