A Note On Sizing

By Underwater G.

I bought these to use in drift dives because my Tusa Xpert Zoom split fins offer too little oomph to pause or go backward in even moderate current. Love the fins, and they look great too. I bought them in green/white and added the Tusa spring strap also, which comes in white. Nice! Now I have two spare straps for my save-a-dive kit. Also nice! I wear a size 7 shoe and a size six bootie. When I received these and installed the spring straps (which of course are not adjustable), they were e...

Great fins, but are rather large.

Great fins, I have 400 dives with these and they work well. They are quite large so it could be difficult to travel with them if your suitcase is on the smaller size. But other than that they are great

TUSA Solla Fins

The SF-22 Solla combines TUSA's rich history of performance fin design with the latest advanced materials and hydrodynamic innovations. A completely new design, the Solla has several unique features that deliver superior propulsion, speed and maneuverability. The SF-22 is powered by ForceLast Technology which offers unparalleled performance and efficiency previously unseen in a traditional blade fin. The fins are manufactured with a proprietary thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound precisely positioned in an advanced blade and foot pocket structure. ForceLast delivers superior propulsion, efficiency and speed even with moderate power input.

In addition to ForceLast Technology, the Solla features TUSA's patented 20-degree angled blade design (A.B.D.), an optimized 3-channel crescent shaped blade with reinforced side rails and vents, a multi-compound anatomic foot pocket and TUSA's anatomic fin strap (A.F.S.) and EZ Buckle System. TUSA open heel fins are equipped with a newly designed anatomic fin strap (AFS). The AFS is anatomically shaped to offer a balance of flexibility and control to increase comfort, power transfer and too significantly reduce heel slippage found in many standard flat fin straps.

TUSA's EZ Strap and buckle system allows fins to be quickly and easily adjusted with minimal effort. Adjustment can be made while the fins are worn, allowing for a precise fit and ease of removal when necessary. The Solla Fins are available in multiple sizes and colors. Fin has blade lengths of 22" to 24.7" (55.7cm to 62.7cm).

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

David T  Im a size 43 or size 9 uk size feet. If I order these fins in medium size with 5 mm boots do you think they would be a good fit?
Mario C  it can depend on how much sole your boots have.. if you have thick sole boots L may be better,,,
PHILLIP B  What Size for Me? On land I wear 11 or 11.5. My Mares hard sole scuba boot is 10 and fits in my Mares fins: Raptor size XL, Volo Power size XL, Plana Avanti Quattro size Regular.
SCOTT S  If you are a size XL in those other brands, I go with the Large/XL size in the Solla fins. We are not sure of the fit/design of the boots you plan to use and to how you would prefer they fit.
CHRISTI G  If you are using spring straps, you really need to try them on. It took me 3 transactions and a personal correspondence with LeisurePro’s owner to end up with the right configuration. That said, these fins are the bomb. You will love.
Paul R  How long is this fin from the end of heel pocket to the tip of fin? Would this be considered compact enough for a carry-on suitcase?
SCOTT S  Also, these fins actually come apart and fit very nicely in a carry on bag: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-tbtfv101/tusa-hyflex-vesna-fin-sf-0101
YAN G  They are 22.5 to 26 inches long, depending on size. These will not fit in a carry on. Try these instead: http://www.leisurepro.com/p-ocnfac/oceanic-accel-open-heel-fin
LARRY M  My wife has a pair of Tusa Solla fins in the XS (extra small) size, and they are 22.25" from the end of the heel (straps not included) to the very end of the dual tips. I do think the XS size would fit into a larger carry-on suitcase, but larger fin sizes may be an issue. I hope this helps.
CHRISTI G  It depends on the size. Our family has two sets of these and the XS are much much shorter than the L. That said, they are relatively long and even the smallest won't fit in a carry on sized dive bag. I researched it.
ELLIOT R  From heel to tip the fin is about 24 inches. By bending it, you should be able to get it to fit in most carry on suitcases 4 - 5 inches thick..
WILLIAM K  They would not fit in a standard carry on....
Shopper  will these fit well over DUI rockboots? i find that the opening needs to be quite tall for rockboots to fit in and be secure.
CHRISTI G  Also if you are buying spring straps, getting the correct fun size plus strap size plus boot can be a pain. Once achieved, well worth it. I wear a BARE boot with a thick rubber tennis show style sole and they fit fine into the XS fin size.
SCOTT S  These fins will fit fine over rockboots or any other type of boot, as long as you get the right size. Boots with a larger sole or that are oversized to fit over a drysuit will be larger than some other neoprene boots. So you should go up a size if you are comparing them to standard wetsuit boots.
TERI L  No. For rock boots I wear mares.
Min Y  Which the fin's size is EU or US?
STEPHEN S  These are sized small, medium, large, etc. Leisure Pro has a sizing chart that will show which measurements they corresponds to, either EU or US.
JAMES H  US
YAN G  please refer to the size chart on the item page.
