About Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator

The Sherwood Gemini gives you exceptional breathing performance without any in-water adjustments required. Made with durable materials, the Gemini gives you superior performance that you would expect from a primary regulator. The Gemini replaces the conventional BC power inflator and backup second stage regulator. With this two-in-one breathing device, an extra hose is eliminated, giving you a less cumbersome dive. The power inflation, oral inflation, and exhaust trim valve are designed to remain similar to standard BC inflators, so you are already familiar with the Gemini's operating system.

When you're taught how to dive you are given practice in buoyancy control more than any other skill. Once you start to dive every time you go underwater, fin the reef, or surface you use buoyancy control. All this time your octopus second stage regulator hangs un-used and out of mind. When a real life out-of-air situation occurs, the stress and anxiety mounts, and you find yourself fumbling for a piece of equipment you never use the Octopus! Combining your inflator devise (that you use on every dive) with your octopus Regulator assures your ability to react properly when an out-of-air emergency occurs. Be a safe diver with the Gemini Breathable Inflator. The Gemini comes equipped with an Owner's Manual; a 3/8" Threaded High-Flow Quick-Disconnect Hose and is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator is commonly used for Cold Water, Eliminating Hoses, Warm Water and more. The Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator is most used by customers who consider themselves to be a Advanced Diver among others. The Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator is popular because customers like the following qualities of the Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator: Comfortable Mouthpiece, Easy To Connect, Easy To Use, Effortless breathing, Nitrox Compatible, Slim design.

One less hose.

Great idea hard to keep in mouth because of stiff hose while using both hands doing other tasks. It is new to me and I'm sure it will become more flexible in time.

I've had the unfortunate experience of going through three, yes three of these octos in the span of one year. Each has had free flow issues from get go within the first half a dozen dives with the latest occurring within just 3 pool sessions! Leisure Pro has been very good about helping me with the problems and I'm very happy with my other Sherwood Maximus primary 2nd stage regulator, however here the problem is pure and simple - a poorly designed Sherwood product. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this product. Third time was no charm either!

Comments about Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator:

I'm writing this review because my local scuba shop sold me the Gemini and it sucked. I came back to leisure pro, they sold me the oceanic, and it was much more reliable. I don't often write reviews but wanted to warn buyers of this poorly made Sherwood Gemini, which, out of the box, had free flow issues. Swapped out 3 Geminis, and all three ended up with free flow issues. WASTE OF MONEY.

Comments about Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator:

I am a big fan of Sherwood regulators so I bought this octo to eliminate the extra hose. After the third dive it free flowed. Had it serviced and dove eight more dives then it free flowed. When I got home I when online to see if Sherwood had any fix for the problem. No fix but a diagram of the regulator. I took the reg apart and found it was not assembled correctly. the adjustment screw separated from the part the connected to the seat. Final test no leak but I still need longer 10 dive test on my trip next month.

Really bad free flow problem. Had to have it serviced 3 times this year. Was in the pool with an Open Water class when it broke. Only had it for 2 years with only about 15 dives.

Comments about Sherwood Gemini Breathable Inflator:

This product is awful. I have had mine for 2 years and it has been nothing but problems since day one. It has been sent back to the shop to be adjusted 8 times, and sent back to Sherwood 3 times. Every time it comes back, it works fine for one dive, and then it is back to a constant free flow. It needs to be adjusted before almost every dive, and it has failed on me twice during dives at depths over 100ft.

I would not recommend this product to anyone who values their life.

This product lasted less than 20 dives before encountering the same issues as the other posters - continuous free flow. And even worse, it was making it impossible to fully fill my BC - this occurred mid-surface swim, which as you can imagine made life miserable. I'm switching to the Zeagle.

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BILL T  Sherwood quality and reputation. But this product failed me.
Shopper  Will this fit a TUSA BC?
RAYMOND P  I believe the Tusa BC's use a 1 inch diameter corrugated inflator hose so this will work. I believe Tusa has their version of the Gemini and its call the Duo. Maybe worth a look.
Shopper  I am looking for a DIVE ALERT PLUS which will connect into the Sherwood Gemini. Which one will fit?
LOUIS B  Actually I worded that wrong, but now that I think of it, that would be a neat thing to have too.
