I was wondering about the reg being nitrox ready? I couldnt find anything online saying yes or no.
ased this rge for the express purpose of using it on a deco bottle. I generally use a 50/50 deco mix and have no trouble with the reg. I did not need any modification prior to using it wirth that mix. Since the normal nitrox blend is much less I would have to say that the Brut is fine regular nitrox. I would have it looked at by my local dive store pro, but like I said, I have had no trouble using it as I do, right out of the box.
To the best of my knowledge, and being owner of the same Reg - yes is my answer. I have seen the Brut on every set up you could imagine, and never seen one yet fail for any reason. Dive Right, Dive Safe......
I have been very pleased withthe Sherwood Brut regulator. Unfortunately I have not been certified to dive with nitrox. Anything directly from Sherwood?
I use a Sherwood SRB9110 Brut Regulator on my pony which I fill with nitrox...31% - 32%....no problems yet!
Yes it is. I've used mine with NITROX, no problems.
I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON AND ALTHOUGH HE HAS NEVER USED IT FOR NITROX IT IS COMPATIBLE
I just pulled out the manual for this since it is a present for my son, and yes it is rated for up to 40% nitrox mix.
Not a problem at all. It's good as is up to EANx 40.
Hey fellow diver,
No this reg in not nitrox ready. However the 2 parts needed only cost me 28.00 from our dive shop. Hope this helps.
For the cost it's a very good reg.
Yes the brut is nitrox ready
Before nitrile rbbuer was used in regs they used neoprene and neoprene would dgrade rapidily in higher oxygen levels. The nitrile rubber used in the modern regs tolerate Nitrox very well, As with any scuba equipment yearly maintenance is a must and especially if using nitrox on a regular basis.
The Sherwood Brut is nitrox ready. The reason you couldn't find anything on line regarding your question is nitrox is so common place in diving all NEW regulators today come nitrox ready.
Yes, I have used it with nitrox. It is a good reliable reg.
