Just got two of these rushed to my wife and I to use on a dive in Grand Cayman. We bought packages and Sam the salesman was extremely helpful!! We were both very pleased with this BC's performance. It was very comfortbale and easy to load weights, adjustable and the rear air release is very nice when you start floating up butt first! The quality is excellent with stainless steel d-rings, not cheap plastic, and sturdy materials.

the bc is nice but is not a very trusty bc cause when i bough it and i used it for the first time at 70 feets the bc started inflating itself thank god my partner hold me down to give me time to get the hose loose from the power inflator cause if not i could had have easily a acute pulmonare edema and on top of that after only 6 inmersion the weight zippers broke, plus the lower strap that hold the tank also break, so it means that after only 6 inmersion i have to buy a new bc because i dont trust this one anymore
P.S. the firs time i had the proble i got the power inflator fix, but again is free flowing again for the second time.
so if you want think twice before bying this bc

Comments about Sherwood '07 Avid CQR2 BCD,:

We love the Avid. There are three of my dive buddies who have it. The weights are easily removable, the pockets are easily accessible, there are plenty of D rings. Some guys like to crack on the squeeze from the jacket style, but It doesn't squeeze enough to cause any fatigue or discomfort. I feel safe wearing it. the only con is that it does not have a mount on it for a dive knife.

Comments about Sherwood '07 Avid CQR2 BCD,:

Perfect for the "bigger" diver. Lots of room for adjustment. I have a larger chest, so most BC's never fit comfortably. This one has lots of adjustments to fit the more athletic build. The cumberbun has major adjustments to fit proper. large pockets to carry alot of tools. Very durable. Lots of D-rings.

This is a great BC. Being a larger guy the XXL did the trick. GReat with my Akona wetsuits.

No tank slippage problems. Cam buckles holds in place. The only design revision would be a place to put a dive tool on the shoulder.

Comments about Sherwood '07 Avid CQR2 BCD,:

I bought this as a package that is no longer available. Great BC for the price. I have had it for 2 full seasons. It has been extremely durable not even any fading after a good rinse from the ocean...no pool diving with it. I am 6', 180 and thin/athletic and the large is still a bit large on me, but tightened down it is very comfortable. The only thing that I don't like about it (could be all integrated weight BC's) is that if you put it on a tank it will pull the tank out of the tankholder on the boat. I have 10lbs in the front and 4 in the back pockets and the weight just pulls the tank right over.

Shopper  I am 6'3" tall, 275 lbs, I have used the Avid in a 2XL, and found that I had all the straps pulled tight to get it on, if I went to the XL, would that be a better fit?
