Best bag on the market

Excellent bag. Big and tough. I really like the built in dry sack for towels, shirts wallets etc. However, the opening to the internal dry sack is a bit narrow and of course anything you put in there robs space from the main sack area. Overall though, a really excellent bag. I looked at quite a few before buying this one and am very happy with it

Too large to be practical

This bag is way too large to be practical as a boat bag. With just one persons gear it looks funny and is difficult to handle because it hangs down so far. You could easily put two divers' gear in this bag but then it would be uncomfortably heavy. Rolled up it takes up a lot of space in your luggage. Also it has no side zipper. Do not buy. There are better alternatives!

Big and sturdy but needs a better cinch

Almost too big! Holds two divers' gear and well designed except for the cinch that closes the bag. I've heard the cinch can be replaced so I'm looking into that. The bag itself is sturdy. Held up well on its first overseas dive trip.

Excellent, my first purchase of a Stahlsac product, I am looking into more of their lineup.

from Houston, TX, US

Outstanding product. It is large for a mesh bag though you need to consider the application. I used this for myself with plenty of room to spare, I also used it when my spouse's was diving with me, which required two sets of fins, masks, snorkels, neoprene booties, gopro camera in a pelican case, and the stuff in the dry pocket (also outstanding), all fit with room to spare. You could easily carry a full wetsuit + kit for a single diver. The bag was dropped off the dive boat into the surf and also dragged through the sand while full if kit, no big deal, a quick rinse to clean up without any ingress to the dry pocket.

Love the size and ruggedness

from Fort Myers , FL, US

This bag is nice and big to carry everything you need. The full length zipper on the side makes putting in and taking out items at the last minute easy.

Works Very Well for Canoe Trips and Sailboat Racing Gear Too!

from Comox, BC, CA

These bags are also great for canoe trips and sailboat racing gear! Unlike most bags which are too small or poorly constructed, these are quite large and about as tough as a mesh bag gets. Stores paddling/sailing wetsuits, booties, gloves, paddling/sailing dry tops, VHF radio, etc., with dry area for wallet, keys, iphone, etc. Stores nicely in canoe of racing sailboat when empty and allows everything to dry out when travelling home. Only modification would be a heavier abrasion resistant bottom (Cordura).

Good Buy

from riverside, OH, US

I was surprisingly impressed with the size and quality of this bag. I was able to put all of my dive gear I expected to use and had room for more.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Katie S  LOVE LOVE LOVE the bonaire stahlsac. I bought one in black, then loved it so much I gave the black one to my husband and got a pink one for me. Sturdy, very durable, huge capacity (fits gear for 1+ divers including wetsuit), and your back doesn't get wet when you put in on because of the placement of the dry bag.
Chun-Hsien L  What the difference between Stahlsac Panama Mesh Backpack and this one?
LEWIS A  The difference between the two is the closure of the dry compartment inside the pack. The lesser priced bag has a zipper closure to the internal closure and no side zipper. The higher priced pack has a roll top internal water resistant enclosure with a vertical side access zipper.
Shopper  Can I get this bag in pink?
Marilyn S  It is not available on the site in pink.
