Love. Them.

Makes side mounting with aluminums so seamless - no more low gas floating tanks - much more streamlined than hard weights on cam bands!

Very easy to ditch weight

By Laredo D.

I case of a emergency, It is very easy to ditch this tank weight. Just unsnap the buckle, and the weight drops off the tank very easily. Laredo scuba Diver, Laredo, Texas

Great way to keep the weight off your hips and add some to your cylinder with this Sea Soft Adjustable Tank Weight Pocket, just mount and adjust the band to your cylinders diameter and you have shed some lead from your waist to your cylinder. Placing weight on the cylinder will also help eliminate the buoyancy you may experience from an aluminum cylinder when near empty. If your cylinder rides up in the second half of your dive due to cylinder buoyancy this tank weight pocket is what you need.

Constructed of durable neoprene and nylon webbing materials for long life with squeeze-style" side-release quick clips for both adjustment to cylinder and weight retention. Tank weight system is available in 2 lbs., 4 lbs. and 6 lbs. (1 kg, 1.8 kg and 2.72 kg) capacities, except both soft and hard weights. The soft neoprene pouches will not damage cylinder finish.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

MICHAEL M  Will these fit on smaller 5.25 diameter cylinders such as an AL30 or AL40?
darrick c  Hello Mike, yes, this should have the adjustment in it to go down to a 5.25 DIA tank.
Shopper  Are these sold in pair's ? Or singles
YAN G  It is one weight.
Trish M  Can this be used diving on vacation without bringing added weight? Does it have fillable pockets or special weights that slip on the belt? I am looking for trim weight to add to my Zuma .. The tank band on the Zuma seem to short to add pockets
JASON N  This weight is for tank use only so that you may adjust your in dive trim by placing it either high or low on the tank.
William P  this answer is from Ed The four pound tank weight is completely sealed, so it will be added weight for travel. It is possible to a weight to the tank band, but you will have to disassemble the tank band and slip it completely through the BC and add it to the side opposite of the band clamp which can be a bit of a pain because of the reassembly. It is possible to stack two 3 lb hard weights so it is possible to get 12 pounds per pocket, but it can be difficult to find the right size and shaped weights to fit in the pocket. Soft weights or a combination of hard and soft can usually accommodate around 22 lbs, but again finding the proper size and shape is the key, and if you can find the right size 3 pounders 24 total lbs is possible. While writing this I just found the perfect answer, which is to add a 2 or 3 pound hard weight to each side of the waist strap. You will have to cut the tack at the end of the waist strap and re-sew with only a single fold instead of the 2 fold tack that the manufacture uses. A single fold will allow the strap the fit the slots in the hard weights. It looks like this will be a great mod and allow for a potential total of 30 pounds if you can find the proper sized weights to accommodate 12 pounds per pocket. I am going to try out this mod next week during a Southern California dive trip, so I can provide a report after I return. It doesn’t look like it will interfere with the weight pockets, but I would recommend using the smallest hard weight possible to minimize the possibility of interference. I will use 3 pound weights just to test the limits. Blessings, Ed.
Trish M  Thanks for the input guys !! Any ideas on where I can get what I am looking for? Tank weight belt that can have weight added on location.
YOAV L  This doesn't have extra pockets, it's a soft wight that have a strap that can go around the tank independently of the tank bands. As to whether you will need more weights, that depends on how much you need for neutral buoyancy.
JOHN A  No, the weights are sewed into them. There may be another product with pouches you can fill, but this isn't it.
DAN A  This is a fixed 4 lb. soft neoprene weight. No pockets, no adjustable weight. You can strap it directly to your tank for trim. I normally dive steel tanks and use this to adjust for the buoyancy difference when diving aluminum.
BRIAN W  These tank weights are sealed (no pockets) and stitched to the belt.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
STEVEN C  My aluminum tank was pushing me too far forward.
MARK R  To improve my diving trim.
JONATHAN G  Remove some of that front weight
Andrea G  Floaty tanks
DEREK D  Side mount using two 30s so I can move weight off belt
