About Seasoft Raygun High Beam 300 Lumen Light

The new SEASOFT Raygun 300 Lumen Light started its test cycle by being run over and over again by a pick-up truck! Yes that's right and now that durable and functional polycarbonate case sits on the SEASOFT president's desk as a symbol of SEASOFT's quality. Using the latest circuitry SEASOFT was able to do two things: First, create 300 lumens of light in the smallest package imaginable yet one that is brighter than many of the big 8 battery primary lights with handles, and secondly produce the whitest daylight spectrum of light for a dazzling display of light (5,500 to 6,000 Kelvin) from a light that weighs only 6.5 oz (184 g).

Yes, that is correct, an indestructible case, 300 lumens, bright, white light, 6.5 oz (184 g) almost seems impossible, but it's not. The SEASOFT RAYGUN uses 2 Lithium Ion CR123 batteries for 8 to 10 hours of burn time. The High Beam version of the RAYGUN gives a tight focused beam of light. Whether you need a backup or primary light, in tropical daylight or a cold-water night dive, the SEASOFT RAYGUN delivers. SEASOFT RAYGUN lights are made in the USA come with an adjustable wrist lanyard and are covered by SEASOFTS limited lifetime breakage warranty.

Comments about Seasoft Raygun High Beam 300 Lumen Light:

This is a surprisingly bright light for the price and size. I've used it on a number of night dives and it does a great job. The beam is fairly focused, so don't expect a big splash of light, but there is more than enough to see what's going on nearby to either side.

One nice feature of the Raygun is that it floats, especially useful if it gets away from you. If you lose your primary light on a night dive you are going to end the dive anyway, so meeting up with your light on the surface will be a snap. Another nice feature is that it gives you some warning when the batteries are draining. While the beam will weaken, the bulb itself generates a sort of bright night-light glow that will help you to find your backup light or illuminate your computer allowing a safe ascent.

You can attach a wrist strap to the end of the stem, or get the Seasoft Flashlite Pocket which includes a retractor. I prefer the pocket.

There are brighter lights, that's for sure by the Raygun is more than adequate for night-diving, and for the price, you can't go wrong.

Comments about Seasoft Raygun High Beam 300 Lumen Light:

This is a great little light for the compact size and light weight. It's not that bright so should really not be used as a primary for night diving. Great for wreck dives where you want something to look into crevices/holes/etc.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  How does the light turn on; that is, can it be operated by one hand, or do you need to use both hands to turn it on and off?
MARGARET C  The top turns. You need two hands to operate it.
Shopper  Would this light work as a primary for A recreational diver that does occ night dives? Is the angle of the beam wide enough for a primary? Thanks
Monica s  It is a pretty focused beam, lights in the primary catagory will have a more wide spread angle than this one. It is 300 lumens so its quite bright, very nice light for the size, however it is more of a focused beam.
