SeaSoft Ankle Weights are an Important-Part of a Diver's Total-Weighting-System. Now, what size of SEASOFT Ankle Weights is right for you?

1) Your Diving Position is Important to Good Diving Since water is 800 times Denser than Air, Less-Drag and Resistance is Crucial in Saving Air and Extending Bottom Time. If your Legs are too High then there will be Increased Drag. When your Legs are to High this will Slow-you-Down and Cause-Fatigue. Correct your Position with SeaSoft Ankle Weights.

2) Many Divers, Especially Women, have Short Waists. The Weights in your BC or on your Weight Belt are closer to your head than they are on divers with longer waists. Therefore, the Weight, Push-your-Upper-Body Down and your Legs Up, causing unnecessary Drag, SeaSoft Ankle Weights will take some of this Weight Off-the-Waist Area and will move it down to the Ankles, putting your body in a Correct-Horizontal-Position.

3) Dry Suit Divers frequently require Ankle Weights because the Legs of a Dry Suit are Filled with Air. The result is the Legs want to Float-Up. SeaSoft Ankle Weights add Negative Buoyancy to the Ankles and help bring the Legs Down into a Correct-Horizontal-Position. SeaSoft Ankle Weights, Tough, Comfortable and with a size just right for you! SEASOFT's 1 .5 lb (0.68 kg) each Ankle Weights are the most popular selling size of Ankle Weight. Popular with both Shell (bag) and Neoprene Dry Suit Divers, SEASOFT 1.5 lb (0.68 kg) Ankle Weight is used to offset the Extra Buoyancy of the Air found in the Legs of most of the popular Dry Suits used today.

All SEASOFT Ankle Weights use a Top Quality 3 mm Medium Density Neoprene designed for long lasting wear and abrasion resistance. SEASOFT uses size 7.5 Lead Shot that has been Tumbled-in-Black-Graphite to Coat the Lead with Several-Layers against Corrosion to Protect You-and-the-Environment. All SEASOFT Ankle Weights are warranted for 4 years against any Lead coming out on any seam. The SEASOFT Ankle Weights are available in 2 lb, 3 lb, 4 lb and 6 lbs (0.91, 1.36, 1.83 and 2.73 kg) increments per pair Weights are Black in color.

Never wanted them; glad I got them.

The doubles and decos in the tec-rec deep diver course I'm taking put me in a head down position. I got several size ankle weights for different occasions. The 3# type were perfect for cold water dry suit with heavy thermals. Easy to put on and take off, they are soft and comfortable to wear.

Questions about this item:

ROBERT J  Hello, I'm still not finding the weight vs pair answer unambiguous. If I order the ITEM that is listed as 6 lbs., am I going to be shipped 6 lbs. of weight or 12 lbs. of weight? Thank you.
Frank L  It would be 6 lbs total.
Kasia W  6 lbs in this case will mean 2 weights: 3 lbs each.
Ben T  Hi, how long are these weights? I have a drysuit with baggy boots ! My current weights are 14 inches long, and are very difficult to snap. Are there any in your assortment that are a bit longer? Ben
KEVIN K  No, they all seem to run about the same length. I also dive with a dry suit and while I have never had a length problem, both brands I have are the same. You might consider stringing two 1 pound weights together to achieve both the desired weight and a much longer overall length.
DR. STANLEY A W  Hi Ben....Im leaving for a week of vacation (non-diving) and can look into this when I return. My wife is very petite and I got them to put around the top of the tank. They are very easy to snap. Please send question again in 1-2 weeks to rmind me to respond with the length (although the company should be able to give you that. Stan
CHRIS N  The Seasoft I have measures 16" in length including buckle closure. This means that you have a total of 16" to work with.
Carol D  How long is each weight and are they adjustable?
MITCHELL M  They are adjustable. I am sorry I dont have them handy at the moment. I had a student who was very large and used them on him. He was wearing a 5/7 mm wet suit.I would guess 22"
CHRIS N  Each flexible tubular weight is approximately 8" long, not including the adjustable strap. The strap utilizes a quick release plastic buckle and can easily adjust from 10.5' in diameter (average American female ankle) all the way up to about 15 " in diameter. Best weights that I have ever owned. I even use them for trim weights on my tank valve... just drop one over the valve - hook up the regs, and go.
